It can be difficult sometimes. People often try to take advantage of others, and that is when it is important to know the value of saying "No" to unreasonable demands. I find I can say "No" pretty easily. But, even so, I do not enjoy the tense and hostile behaviour levied at me when I do this. However, I would rather put up with some tension than opt to be walked over by people. It is hard. I know what you mean. I hate the word too, it's the definition of negativity. Never, ever get walked over by anyone. When I perceive that I will more firm than ever in decision of saying "no".

I had to get that way because I used to be pushover and man did people take advantage of it.
