It depends on the pillow. If they are sleeping pillows it is good to either have them professionally cleaned or throw them away after 2 years. you dont want to know what is in them. This is what i do for a living. I have seen some nasty stuff I saw a television special about that...and now replace all my pillows once a year. It's my Christmas to myself...peace of mind while I slumber.

can um pillows are not that expensive

you are supposed to WASH your pillows? Just think dust mites, bed bugs, sweat, mold.

People dont realize it's not whats on the outer case it's what gets in the pillow fibers and feathers. Nasty S**T. I love the ones that send me pillows from different states and want me to clean the pillow but keep the old case. I would get fined if I do that so I have to make them a new case and for that they can buy a new one

...how do you wash your dirty pillows??? Hot water to kill the dust mites or get new ones. They have to get completely dry in the dryer to decrease the chances of mold growing. New ones are not expensive. I know people that put plastic casings on the pillows like people that have allergies and asthma use.

You have to use a special chemical to get rid of all the mites and other bugs. I have huge machines that are used only for pillows. it casts alot but for some people it's worth every penny

Do you think that's good enough?

ahhhh no you dont. the average mattress has 2 million dust mites in it. can you imagine how many are in your pillows

Ive read that they should be replaced every six months anyway... I wouldnt wash it just buy new ones!

Depends on the way you take care of your pillow. If you use a cover and case you can go longer but if not then 6 months is perfect How my father got me into this business i will never know. I do evry kind of cleaning known to man

I have to believe that my pillow protectors are doing something...or I probably wouldn't sleep. Oh, yeah I don't sleep...but it would be for entirely grosser reasons.
