I have killed my master Drank of his blood And now I wander the countryside alone Unsure if how to use my gifts Unsure of what to do Oh how do I feed now Selfish child that I am I run across the moors crying Running until I can run no more My red hair tumbling over my face I cry out in the night "Oh what have I done" A mist surrounds me A hand touches me tenderly "My child, a simple mistake So many newly made make Come with me now Take my hand" I take her hand She pulls me close Holding me tightly Like a mother holds her infant child Into the night sky we rise Over villages and towns She whispers in my ear So softly "To Dublin I take you Where there are many of us We shall show you the way You will become part of the greater force" Above Dublin she whispers again "Here you will live My child you will be I will teach you how to feed To use your wares Upon the men" We drift slowly down In the center of Dublin Hurrying along the cobbled streets A grand house we come upon "Welcome home my child Tell me your name" She brushes back my red tresses Looking deeply into my emerald green eyes I whisper" I am Aylynne Cleary, mother" **For Karma, thank you for the name* |
