im going to go with people lie in a relationship because they are stupid.

What a good question let me tell you what I think:

they are insecure in themselves, and don't think they are worthy of you, or anyone else for that matter.

I had someone who I talked to as a friend, and he used to tell me about ALL the women who wanted him, CONSTANTLY like that was going to make me want him more... it ended up making me despise him, especially when I found out that most of his life was either a lie or a misrepresentation.

I also think though, there are enough stupid people in the world that buy into lies and deceit, or it wouldn't happen so often.

I people watch, here and in real life, I see the things that people do and say, and yes, I pass judgement. I don't apologise for that. I watch guys flirt with dumb girls then say to me, I love a strong independant woman, what a crock of sh*t. I see women on here throw themselves at ANYTHING that give them attention and then whine about how no one takes them seriously. Well DUH.

People lie for their own reasons, and I may get an earful, but I don't think it is to be malitious to others, that is only a side effect of it. HOWEVER, if you don't know who you are, no one else will either.

The self-help section of bookstores are FILLED with advise, but do people ever really take it??? I haven't seen it much. If you do KUDOS to you, if you don't.... what a pathetic life you lead.
