Adj4u.... do what I do, watch the morning news. They focus on good things sometimes!

Like that awesome story about the young soldier who was killed in combat shortly after he called his parents trying to get soccer balls sent over there for the kids. So now people donate the balls, write the young soldiers name on each ball and they go to kids in the warzone... dang, I can't find the story or remember the soldiers name... Someone help me on this one!

I remember the story so vividly and can't remember that hero's name. Man, I suck right now.

(CBS) All over the quiet town of Wilton there are monuments to the memory of Nick Madaras.

"This is Nick's garden," said Bill Madaras, Nick's father. "There's something flowering in here all the year long."

But his greatest legacy could be the hope he brought to the children of Iraq, reports CBS News' Russ Mitchell.

hope this is the right one

DUDE! Thats the one, I am so stoked you found that!

Thanks!

Damn story... made me cry.

I think maybe it has to do with where you live and how old you are.
I hear FDR mentioned a lot as well as Kennedy (which I totally disagree with).
Most Americans never study history past what is mandatory either. The public school system is terribly lacking in this area and in Geography!

Eisenhower is one of my favorites, but in what way do you rate them.
For the times and what he did helping America recover from low morale after Vietnam and Watergate, Reagan has to be considered one of the best. There are many controversies and shady policies that accompanied his presidency though as well.

I also like Theodore Roosevelt.

I found no fault in your post, I was just adding to it. I just think it is ironic that twice in his life he had to deal with communists in this country
