Well I lived in Seattle for a while, it's very expensive. And housing is outrageous in price, most people have roommates, unless they're very well off. So if you don't mind that, you might enjoy yourself. Good luck if you decide to go through with it.flowerforyou

I've lived in Spokane nearly all my life. It is very different from Seattle. We have 4 seasons, rain in the spring, sun and warmth in the summer, sun and cooler temps in the fall, snow in the winter.

If you want to know more, just ask me. I have kids your age and we might be able to help you make an informed decision.

spokane wa,??? why there??? the summers are great there, some of the best camping in the US. but the winters are brutal, lots & lots of rain. I only drove through spokane! and from what i saw i'm glad i did. it is rural farm and cow country. I did time mostly in kitsap co. the most time i could ever do in wa. was 2 yrs. that state has the highest suicide rate for a reason. ( no sunshine for long long periods of time.) if i were you i'd think twice, before i go,
hope you have ppl there!!!

I have lived in Washington state for the last 30 years...I am in the south eastern corner of the state. (Walla Walla Valley to be exact.) 3 hrs. south of Spokane. All the rain you hear about is NOT for all of Washington. When I first moved here I was very surprised how desert-like it is where I am at. Very mild winters, summers can be a scourcher, rainfall not that bad at all. Mountains an hour or less away, as is the Columbia and Snake Rivers. The area where I am at is now on the map as a wine destination. Great place to raise a family!

***side note...I was born and raised in Ohio...don't miss THOSE winters at all!
