Well, much to the disappointment of the "keep it" opinions, I called up AMAZON.COM and told them to cancel the refund I requested this morning. I actually made the decision right after I started this topic. I guess I needed to voice it to more or less make the decision in my mind. I let it be just to see what answers I get.

In the end, it's my conscience and my sense of right and wrong that's on the line. I think for all I talk about society being better people...I had to be an example to myself. A $250 flash for a camera just isn't worth how I'd look at myself. In all honesty my personal integrity means too much to me.

Now if they screw up and still refund me, then that's their problem.

Now that is the spirit and stay that way you will always be a winner

You're only gonna have "bad karma" if you don't pay for what you ordered and received. If they screw up and still give you the refund, maybe you were meant to have it for free. lol

Wow! I was getting ready to pat you on the back and tell you way to go until you said that.

Oh stop. You know they won't mess it up. If they still screw that up then I can only go so far in terms of helping those who just can't do their jobs right.

If they don't think they shipped it and give you a refund take it! If they knew how to run a business then they would provide correct tracking information and ship in a timely manner, especially if you pay extra for next day shipping.

I agree. I wouldn't worry about it. I would keep it and not have a guilty conscience. It's not like anyone is getting hurt.

If a business is shipping hundreds they cant have an instant visibility it isnt that they dont know how to run a business

So you're saying here a business that ships hundreds of items a day doesn't know what it ships or when? Yet they know how to run a business?!

I have had many instances in the past with many different companies where I've had one problem or another with items I ordered online. Every time I called with a question I gave my order number and they had instant visibility of my order, meaning what I ordered and where it was. If a company can't manage to do that then they shouldn't be in business. By all means the company who shipped the item in dispute in this topic should know if it was or wasn't delivered. If they offer a service such as next-day shipping which requires signature confirmation and can't figure out if the item was delivered and want to refund you then take it. Maybe when they realize they are losing money because of this they will become better organized and correct their inefficiancy.

I would pay for it myself. Just let ups know there was a small mistake. No big deal in the end.
