A lie is something wrongful said on purpose, hence the church's hanging one or the other is a mistaken view, not a lie, not todays church anyway. Don't get me wrong, the false prophets are out there, selling our love as hate, but the whole issue of Jesus' race is more of a mistaken identity than a lie. Most churchs hang pictures of white Jesus, because it's what image has been handed down to 'em, hence it's what they know as Jesus' race. Some churchs hang pictures of black Jesus because they believe it is a more accurate image. Both of these cases aren't lying, they're just mistaken IMO. But here we come again to the danger of images concerning the prophets, the truth gets skewed because of time & people end up debating the issue so much they don't take nearly as much time to actualy contribute to our mission;^]

If the church today can't look at something as simple as this and set it straight. How can they possibly be the seat of all truth?

The church isn't a single church, differant churchs have differant policies and differant beliefs. The "church", as in the streotype of a single church view, is not the seat of truth. The actions and the teachings of Christ are the seat of truth for myself and loads of other christians likewise. The church is more for us as NA is for drug addicts, it's a support group from the temptations we face everyday. A place for us to get together, study and give praise to the lord. Careful using subjective terms like "seat of truth" when you classify all churchs together;^]

So then the Bible tells you the answer to this question?

Someone on the web mentioned that [paraphrasing] "Jews function as a race, so they are a race, regardless of what modern science calls them." Indeed. Jews are more cohesive and unified than any other ethnic group, so that is a great description of the Jews. Thanks, somebody.

Furthermore, the word "White" means White European. In other words, a White person's ancestors originally came from a White European country, such as England, Germany, France, etc. Some Jews may appear to be White. In other words, they may have light-colored skin and light-colored hair. That does not make them White, however. Only genetics makes a person White. The Jews are not genetically White. [One of the reasons that the Jews have been so successful in the Western countries is that they sometimes appear to be White].

White gentiles should hopefully be able to recognize Jewish people based upon their physical appearance, but granted, this is not always possible. However, Jews often have features that identify them as being Jewish by race. The majority of Jews do share common physical features -- especially in their faces and/or craniums [skulls].

What is important is each individual's personal relationship with Hashem, and our relationship with Hashem as a People, as well as our relationships with our communities (roughly in that order)

Jesus didnt have DNA so his race would be hard to determine..i think each individual has a picture in their head of what Jesus looked like but the representations we see now are what you would call poetic license.
