You gotta wait for the right moment to create the right moment. Shouldn't be a long wait. Like, if they say "I love you" then immediately, loudly, you can go "WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!! Hold on, there!" Huge conversation on the topic of what everyone wants out of the relationship will follow. But that's if you've already waited way too long to ask, really. If you go some place quiet and romantic, and your hands touch, same thing. Or even not quiet or romantic. And you're just passing the salt anyway. Kiss goodnight? Also perfect. Jump back, "What the HELL are you doing?!" ... Wait, you're a chick! You don't ask him what HE wants. He doesn't know. He needs you to TELL him what he wants. Got rusty in those 13 years, eh? LMAO... OH SO THAT IS HOW THIS DATING WORKS... I have to tell him what he wants... I will try that if I get a second date...LOL |

So am I, I feel like I'm new at this again, not that I was ever good at it Dating these days seems dam near impossible Amen to that. If a guy says "I'm just looking for friends" Well, I'm pretty filled up in the friend department. I'm looking for more than that, not to say with or without him. One guy said "I'm just looking for friends" then got mad when I said "Well good luck then" He was mad because I didn't want to waste my time.... Every good relationship starts out as friends, but if that's ALL you are looking for, don't be pissed when people want more and move along. |

Dont be afraid of scaring anyone off, if that's the case then they aren't meant to be with you, why put forth the effort and build something that wont be worth it. that is normal to find out what a person wants in life before anything happens. I would def want to know right away.

I would def want to know right away. Yep, what she said. If someone says "they want to make friends" that says one of three things to me 1.) They truly only want friends, because they are not ready to date, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I know what I want, and I have plenty of friends. 2.) They say that so they can talk to a million girls/guys and then they have a fall back when they get called out on it. 3.) They really don't know what they want, which is again Ok, but I do know what I want, and I'm not wasting my time with it. |

I think it all depends on the situation. I believe there is a space listed on the profile as to what he/ she is looking for, but having been burned I also believe in taking things slowly in order to be SURE he/she is sincere, or if not, trips him/herself up so you can be aware and protect your heart.

If you scare them off with a simple question like that, let them run. They aren't worth your time anyway.
