what if a kid was ringing your doorbell over and over the neighbor was mad.I'm just trying to be a good parent you did the right thing, kids need to know their boundaries. and yes, it is mild compared to what some other kids are doing but disrespect/respect starts somewhere, right? |

![]() I'm not saying you're being a sucky parent for sending his friend home by any means, but usually when you cut off friends for whatever reason, the kids will resent you for it and get into trouble in worse ways... |

You could always make him do something nice for the neighbor to make up for it

If she's a mom maybe he could pick her some flowers and give her a nice hand made card with an apology

Why dont you buy sidewalk chalk and take them out...and chalk there friends driveways at night....teach them to have fun in a harmless way, and you get to be in on the fun.

Well good for you he needs to learn that lesson somehow.. a couple of years ago my son had friend over and he called the local Pizza place and order 21 pizzas I had a fit and made the friend admit what he did and go home. so I am right there with you... we are creating men.. not boytoys. |

We live in a set of private town houses (they are in the country) There are five houses and all of us have lived here for quite some time so we all know each other pretty well. But I have one neighbor that has a little girl that consistently rings the doorbell. I'm talking she would come to your house, ask a question, leave and not even 5 minutes later would come back and ring the doorbell with another question. Well, instead of complaining to the parent (we thought that would be petty) or hurting the little girl's feelings, we all just talked to the landlord and had him disconnect the doorbell. Problem solved.
