Topic: Prayer Needed.... | |
---|---|
For those of you out there that have ever lost someone, a prayer is
needed for my little girl, Chloe......she's now 12. She lost her father to illness at 2 and then I almost remarried a wonderful man when she was in kindergarten but he died of cystic fibrosis. He is the man that she remembers as her father. We heard a song on the radio Friday night that reminded us of him and she hasn't quite been the same since. She is surrounded with tons of love but prayers in her behalf are truly needed right now! I think her greatest wish in life is to be able to say "daddy" It breaks my heart........ |

My prayers for you and Chloe. Have you tried getting a card and
attaching it to a helium balloon and letting it go so she can send it to him in heaven. Sounds corny, but have heard of people doing it and even saw it on TV, and people say it helps the kids feel connected, like thay are communicating with the absent person. A social worker even mentioned putting a message in bottle and putting it in the bay or ocean, don't know where you live, as a way to tell him how she feels, misses him. Does she keep a diary, might be a way to communicate secretly with him too. Just a few thoughts. Wish I could be of more help. Hope she feels better soon. Take care. |

Misty;
Ck. with local grief groups in your area, there maybe some groups for kids she could get involved with. In the Omaha area is something called Teddy Bear Hollow. People in my widow & widowers group have taken their kids there & say it helped alot. Kids hold stuff lots deeper & can't talk to the other parent because they have seen hoe hurt that parent was. They think; no matter what we tell them; that talking about death will cause mom/dad pain & kids take the responsibility for their own grief. Need others to tell them, it's OK to talk; mom/dad need it as much as the child. Been there/still doing it. Stepdaughter & mom were/are very close. Gwen left me 3 Honey do's 1. Take care of the dogs ( they were our kids) 2, Take care of her daughter & my son 3. Have fun (God I miss her) |

PS If there can't be a daddy, is there someone special (family or
friend) that could be an UNCLE. That person would have to be told the obligation they would have. I have become a source of help to a friend w/2 girls. Try to do what I can. |

My prayers are with Chloe but actually Maria has a great ideal I have
seen that done on tv by some kids once for a school mate believe sometimes the littlest jester hits home the hardest give it a try. Bless you Chloe I do know how you feel my Mom passed away when I was only 15 months old and I never got to know her hold those memories in your heart for even tho you can not see him he has not left you he will always be in your heart forever |
