You may remember our post right here from back in January about the Jedi Church being planned in the UK by brothers Barney and Daniel Jones. Well, apparently not everyone is happy about it. In this case, a drunken Darth Vader weilding a metal crutch. Barney Jones was in his back garden giving a documentary interview when a man dressed as the Sith Lord hopped over a fence and began assaulting Jones with the metal crutch. He then proceeded to take out his frustration on the camera crew and a hairdresser. Naturally, we are shocked to hear that alcohol was involved. All kidding aside we hope Barney and the others are ok, but dude! What a story!

Mysticism teaches that the dark side came from the
Light side, and that the Light side is much stronger.
But that the dark side was necessary in order for this
creation to exist as it is. Those that belong to the
Light side will always over come the darkness, no
matter what.

Yoda also teaches Luke that the dark side of the
Force is not stronger than the Light or Good side. But
that the dark side it is easier, quicker and more
seductive. For example, it’s easier to get angry if
someone insults you than to stay calm and be at peace
with yourself.

But how can we tell the difference between the Light
side and the dark side? Yoda explained that you will
know that you are on the 'good side' because you will
be at peace with yourself, calm and passive.

The opposite is true with the dark side: you won’t be
at peace with yourself. You will be mentally agitated.
Your thoughts will be dark and you will tend to be
aggressive. Jedi belong to the Light/Good side with
all their hearts and souls

Jedi were created by a movie director not even forty years ago.

The basic concepts and ideals of the Jedi religion were introduced by the fictional Star Wars movies. However, these concepts were quickly and readily recognized by many people throughout the world as being a religion that they could more readily ascribe to than traditional religions.
The Jedi church makes no denial that its name and terminology originates from a fictitious past, but the concepts and ideals that are identified by Jedi followers are known for their innate truth. The sun existed before it was given a name, and it could be revered as a God, however, when the sun finally had a human name, it could be written about and communicated with others. The Jedi religion is just like the Sun, it existed before a popular movie gave it a name, and now that it has a name, people all over the world can share their experiences of the Jedi religion, here in the Jedi Church.
