When I was young
and full of pride, was told not to show emotion keep it all buried inside. And if I were to hug my Mother, it would be just as bad as kissing each other. Once we approached a certin age we were all then on a different page, and were much to old to be showing those things even though it brought pleasure and the happy feelings that brings. Oh,if I had it to do over I'd be romping with my sister, through fields of clover. Climbing fences sitting upon a horse, when we were told not to we'd do it anyway,of course. We hardly ever listened and did as we were told, until we were punished and were put out in the cold. But my parents they did the best they could, they were raised the same way and no doubts,they understood! and |

We do what we know until we learn to change. Your poem really hits home...I'm sure for many others too.
