As a with my loud mouth, I'd say split it or take turns paying. I don't want the guy ALWAYS paying for me. Thats not fair for him and I wouldn't want him to think I'm using him or something. I would prefer to pay for every second dinner out for the both of us and always for myself, why? Because then I can show some of my independence. I've been in relationships where men "tally up" how much money they've spent on me and what they've bought me for gifts and when we have a disagreement, this is brought up..."how can you treat me like this? after all I've done for you? After all the money I've spent on you to show you how much I care?" Blah Blah Blah. Plus the more they spend on me the more I get the feeling they want something in return. Puh Leeeez! I don't need the guilt trip and if you want to show me how much you care, do something that does not cost money, like a well it doesn't matter here what I like but hey you get the idea! This is why I would prefer to pay for every second outing or meal out, and def for me always! Who made it law that men have to do all the paying? Good luck with what you do with that one! Ha |

My first question is why do you keep track of how many times you have went out?
I have no problem with paying when I go out with my guy!! He never allows me to pay though, he always takes the bill. BUT I do offer to pay all the time. Maybe you should talk to her and tell her that your funds are low and if you want to go out she needs to pay this time? I am sure she won't mind? Let her know ahead of time though...maybe she is on a budget! Good luck |

ok check it out. me and my girlfriend went out last night for the 24th time as an "outing" for her friends b-day party. we each had different things to eat and drink but my bill came out to like 12 bucks. and i was like hey can you get it for me because the waiter didnt split it up and i didnt have cash. she was like no but i will give you a dollar trying to be funny but serious she was not going to get it. ok so i paid and said bye and went home and she was pissed i didnt stay out late too but i actually have to go to work in the morning. needless to say the reason i got pissed is because i have paid every singel time we have done something movies, hockey tickets, dinner etc,. so i told her i was upset because well.......i tell it how it is and she was like you shouldnt make me feel like i am obligated to pay. i was like no you are not obligate to pay but it sure would be nice if you paid or took me out once. was i wrong for feeling that way or was i right. Time to kick to the curb Tell her to tuck and roll |

If I don't have the money to ask someone out, I won't ask. If they pay, it's even better, but I strongly believe you shouldn't ask anyone out if you don't plan on paying. I can see that... and I'm saying... whoever asks should be expected to pay. |

Men should always pay! Screw u all! *laughs* I think it is rude for a man to put a woman in a "position" to pay for anything. Even if for a test! That is horrible manners, and not a way to see if you're cared for. If you feel you deserve some kick back on a date you should find a woman that has the same mindset as you. Not spring it on a woman at the end of a meal! That is so socially and personally and well on so many levels wrong.. That is totally ur issue. With that said, Although I feel a man should pay, or feel like he wants to pay for treating the woman he is with--I find it selfish for a person to always take take take without so much as a show of appreciation in some way. Personally, I like to treat @ times if it is appropriate, Or choose other ways, cook/gift/ or surprise w/entertainment tix etc.. that might not include me.. so ya.. wutever.. but that is rude in the way it was presented... in my opinion... in a non judgemental way I might add.. |

Ha I'm with you on that, I expect the guy to pay for the first date...after that It's split... maybe not down the middle, but I don't expect him to pay for everything.... Some of the best dates have not cost a dime.... |

I must be a lucky guy then....I have women invite me out for dinner all the time and pay for it...She invited..she pays I invite? I pay.... But $12.00? Can you cover me? Considering I have paid or so many times? Whats the big deal, especially if she is your girlfriend and been out "24" times..... I would be pretty freakin furious actually...SHe wouldnt ever get a phone call answered acting the way he describes |
