Voodoo, being based on African religions brought over by slaves, could easily be considered a type of religion. Many practitioners of voodoo and hoodoo are Catholic. They say that it is their belief in the reality of voodoo is part of what makes them such devoted Catholics. It is interesting that Some places such as Haiti can easily wed to religions that seem so at adds with each other.

Marriage of religions happens all the time and it works for people and that is what religion is for, the people to feel comfort and at peace. So each person has the absolute right to mix, delete, etc.... any and all religions to their comfort.
