Have you ever just stared at your child while they were sleeping, watching a movie, or playing? Whatever the action is?
And just remember what you have had so far, and waht the future brings? The peace and joy they bring you? Hoping that you give them the best childhood possible? My daughter brings so much to me, yesterday, today, and tommorow... |

I know exactly what you are talking about. They are amazing. Even when they grow up.... I stare at God's work and say, "Wow, that came out of me????"

Works for all kids, not just yours.
The innocence & beauty of youth. God gave them to us to teach peace & love. They can break our hearts, but we always love them. Looking forward to the yrs, when mine will be closer, with the grandkids. Grandpa will teach them to be as onery as their dad............& him. |

My kids are the greatest blessing I have in my life.
All three of them are so different in who they are. But I love them and am so excited to see where their futures bring them! |

Yes I do, and now that she will be a senior in high school next year, I just hope and pray that I have stilled in her all that she will need to be a success in life, my daughter has been the reason for me living for the last 18 years and as she tells me it is time for Mom to start living for herself now. Sometimes I look at her and wonder where the years have went, it doenst seem that long ago that I was bringing her home from the hospital...Enjoy and relish each and every day that you are with them, I have and I have no regrets...she is a delight and she makes me very proud...

Everyday I wake up I do that.. I sit and talk to them and really look at them, see them and listen to them..
I remember doing it when my oldest daughter now 17 was 2 and playing in a sandbox in our backyard.. I remember thinking what will youlook like, will you be outgoing or shy, talkative and funny or soft spoken and reserved.I wonder what she would want to be when she grew up.. Well like I said shes now 17, will be a senior in high school next year, graduate early and then she has decided to go medical school and become a doctor... I still do it all the time tho with her and her siblings, what does the future hold |

It was great watching my boys grow up into the men they are today. Seeing them marry two beautiful women and giving me five grandchildren to spoil rotten. They have made their mom very proud.

Yes, I still do it. My little man slept with me last night. He was in his little boxer pj's and I rubbed his back and touched his hair. When I walk into his room the little man scent is overpowering.
He is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. We are so excited Mother's Day is coming up. We have a tradition that we go to Stan Hywet, which is a mansion donated to the community. It has gardens, butterfly filled greenhouse, you tour the house, and afterwards we have a picnic lunch. He loves the indoor pool in the house. Last year they had a treehouse exhibit, but this year it's just the estate itself. He was thrilled when I told him he gets a present for Mother's Day, and hugged and kissed me when I told him why. (because without him I would not be a mommy, and that I am so lucky to have been blssed with a beautiful, smart, and loving boy) |

I have a great kid. She's 9 and is the spitting image of me. We butt heads alot but I wouldn't trade one single argument for anything in the world. When I got pregnant with her, I was excited but freaked out. Then when I had her, for the first couple of days I literally prayed to God to help me figure out a way to put her back inside me so I could protect her. Once I figured out that wasn't humanly possible, I prayed to just be able to be a good parent. So far, my prayers have been answered. We've had alot of trouble along the way between her father passing and her being sick for a year and half straight, and now I'm entering the pre-teen years. So far I've experienced the "Everybody else is doing it or has it, why can't I?", "That is just not fair!" and my favorite, "You can be so mean." Ah, the joys of parenthood. All I can say is, "Lord, you're gonna be hearing alot more from me, so be prepared."
BTW, if anyone can direct me to the manual on How to Raise a Child, I'd really appreciate it. |
