We were walking back to our car to come home a few hours ago...A homeless guy approached begging for money...I ignored him and it obviously annoyed her. She said and very politely mind you... "I have my own money, and I work for it...Sorry!"

Keep in mind she is 7 years old...THats my girl

when my son was about 9 in that area we went down town and we had walked past the music store and there was a bum in the door way of the store and he was asleep. my son wanted to bring him home.. now he has a heart but i told him it wasent a good idea.. and every now and then i will give a bum some extra change if i have it.. not all the time as i know they have money.


and get this.. my daughter saw a bum walking and carry a laptop.. does that show he poor.. if he has a laptop you know he has some money

Or at least a McDonalds App...They will hire anyone!

My child would try to give them the whole piggy bank. I have had to get them to cut back on giving all of their money away.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF HE WASNT A VETERAN AND COULDNT MAKE IT AND LOST ALL HOPE AND NOW HAVE TO BEG ?

when you get older, you will find so many people will play on your behalf............some of these folks are college grads that cant find a job in their field........so they become lazy and play people to make their living...........wise up kiddo...........

I for one would NEVER allow myself to get to that position, whether I have to have 3 jobs or not...It will get done

They are not the majority. There are many families homeless now. Many mentally ill are homeless too.

Thats actually a misconception. If you have any studies or proof of this please post a link. The same applies to mothers on welfare. There are a few which are held up as being the norm. They aren't.

okay, here is good for instance......if you travel the same road daily and see the same panhandler out there looking for a handout, checkout the hair....if it looks clean and is clean daily, they are playing you...........wake up guys........they are getting a shower somewhere.........we all are not gullible...........

McDonalds will not hire people with mental disorders or addictions. The problem is funding for social programs was cut on a federal level and it is up to local governments to find the funds. They turn to charities and these in turn only help the ones who can quit their substance abuse. (Most of these programs are the 10 step ones so you either are a Christian or you're out the door.)

The point is there are people who fall in between the cracks. It's not as simple as saying they are lazy.

Actually, my local news secretly watched one for a day. At the end of the day, he pulled of a cap that had a dirty wig with long hair sewed into it, got into a BMW and drove to his gorgeous house 10 miles up the road!!!!

In my neighborhood there are homeless people on almost every corner, they dig through your trash,they bum you for money,smokes,food,anything they think you got.
I tell them to get lost! Whatever thier reason is ..they should try to do something about it..there are jobs,shelters,even soup kitchens that will help them..they can even go get an education for free if they wanted to.

What if you had a medical disaster and all of your money went to the care of you and you ran out of money? It happens alot.

What if you become disabled and can't work? It just takes an instant for one's life to change.

There are many people just one paycheck away from being homeless.
