This weary poet upon an adventurous course Where timid hearts travel short to endorse Lined with sorrow among-st thickets of pain Navigating blinding curves in sheeting rain Perilous journey with such diminished sight Steadily forward through star filled night Gathering knowledge from the ones who dared Peering the dark woods I ominously stared Dreadful cries piercing though chilled air Wailings of the wounded have come to beware This moment caused shivers and paralyzed me While the wind licked upon my skin steadily So many were tales of great sorrow and pain Yes deeply saddened for I could not sustain These salty tears rolled down my cold cheek Unanswered solace and comfort they did seek There spirits gliding on the turbulent air Seeking some comfort from their long despair Offering them closure with my humbled quill A mere mortal standing upon a desolate hill With unwavering courage I did open my heart By virtue of kindness lends peaceful depart Within this vortex lies these souls unknown Unrighteous their deaths served by man alone Not vengeance but justice I desperately seek Tempered by law;I shall stand for this weak Rest now weary for you shall no longer roam I carry your olive branch as I venture home Written by CyPoet 5/2/08

I thank U Iam from the bottom of my bearific heart.I am so happy that U enjoyed that write.It was a tremendous feeling also as I wrote this.All truth be known,I was overwhelmed twice as I wrote it & I had 2 stop twice in the middle of it. However I was extremely pleased w/the outcome.Ur my bro & confidant till thee end T.I ya,man.

Wow, I didn't know I had that kind of an impact.. Thank you for making me aware of it.. I just speak from what's in my heart, and you my friend are a great writer as well.. Poetry is something I love to read and write, believe it or not, I didn't even know I had this talent until my ex and I split up..which will be a year on the 11th of this month, I went through the most horrible pain because of that, along with watching my mother die two months prior to the break up.. I needed a way to release the pain, and God gave me this gift as a way of doing it.. We poets I believe are a special breed, we write poems that inspire people, help them to smile, bring a joyful tear, or a sad one depending on the poem... we take then away on journeys through the mind.. it's our gift to them..
