talking of pain pills i think there pretty crap anyway, even when i take df118 and demerol and indometacin together im still in severe pain, if my pains a 10, with pain pills my pain would be a 8, and sometimes i think why am i taking this crap. when i was in hospital for 3 weeks i had 5 to 6 i/m injections a day of demerol, in total over a 100 injections and i didnt care because they helped the pain better, so hopefully pain mangament will change me over to demerol sub cut, where i inject it myself under the skin around 5 times daily. this is my only chance of getting the pain controlled, i just wish they would get off there ass and see me!!

im a little concerned as to why i couldnt feel most of these i/m injections, because there meant to be painful, something must be up with the nerves in my back, as i get a lot of tingling and ive stood up before and totally lost sensation in my back and legs and ive fell splat on the floor, this as happened a few times, i will mention this to pain management when i see them. its a mystery to why my back is like this and why i get terrible back pain.

I got addicted to pain pills. Be careful. I found they don't kill pain at all. Rather, they got me high, and eventually I got addicted.

I know so manyyy people that are addicted to pain killers. It's really sad because around here you can by a tab for $3 off the street. Be very careful if you start any meds....follow dose instructions wisely.

They gave me vicodin after my knee surgery. They were making me fall asleep. I needed to get back to work soon so I just stopped taking them. Also, I didn't want to get addicted.
My friend is on some sort of patch for chronic pain.

Try soaking in a bath of as hot a water as you can stand with 2 cups of Epsom Salts dissolved in the water. Worked quite well for me when I herniated a couple of discs in my lower spine.

What works best for you?? I have severe back pain and nerve pain from a back injury at a job, and I have been taking tramadol for a year and it's not really doing so great anymore. I've tried several other pills, but nothing works enough. Grrrr, I hate pain!!

There are two types of painkillers. In layman's terms, some painkillers go to the brain and tell the brain there is no pain. Others go to problems such as inflamation, fluid, swelling and the like and relieve it. See your doctor because it is possible that you might need to take both type of painkillers. You should get an MRI, which will indicate if you have swelling, inflmation, fluid, or whatever in that area.

Whatever you do, do not experiment on your own. See a doctor.

I have had an MRI, and I have bulging. I have degenerative disc disease, amongst other things!

Not directed to the OP, but it is really sad to read how many people abuse opiates. You have no idea how this kind of addiction can fvck up your life. Or, how difficult it is to kick.
