commentators on Iraq by television networks have been groomed by the Pentagon, leaving some feeling they were manipulated to report favorably on the Bush administration, The New York Times said in Sunday editions.
A Times report examining ties between the Bush administration and former senior officers who acted as paid TV analysts said they got private briefings, trips and access to classified intelligence meant to influence their comments. "Records and interviews show how the Bush administration has used its control over access and information in an effort to transform the analysts into a kind of media Trojan horse — an instrument intended to shape terrorism coverage from inside the major TV and radio networks," the newspaper said..............read the rest here at.......http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24220130 |

i just consider the source of his rantings and move on. I deal in Facts, not half truths that are designed to play on my emotions.
liberalism equals communism.... which looks a LOT better in theory than in practice. |

It just shows the length that the Bush Administration will go to to keep up the illegal war they waged with a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11

again with the illegal war. WHY? AND who cares why anyway. Try moving forward for once. The fact is that we ARE THERE. What is the correct thing to do now? pull out before we win or fold when it becomes outside of some liberals comfort zone?

First, a few questions: Nothing to do with it? Are you sure? Where's the absolute proof either way?
Second a point: The people in Iraq were oppressed by someone who killed more of them each year than have died in the entire war? I'd rather allow a war based on greed to continue than to allow some jerk to kill hundreds of thousands more people than said war. Life isn't black and white, thus we can't simply say that war is bad and that everyone will share everything. It just doesn't work. Third, a few more questions: What independant research have you done on the war Dragoness? Have you read anything beyond the mass media? Did you actually dig at all, or did you just believe what you have been told? |

It matters to all who have lost a loved one to the legality of the action. It matters to Iraq who never asked for us to remove Saddam, nor to "democricize" them. It matters to those of us who want America to be a right and just nation who respects other nations with the same respect we want for ourselves.
We need to get the hell out of their country and let them fix what we did to them. Sadr is calling for the unity of Iraqians and is pushing for them to unite against us. Can you blame them? |

Um... the majority of people in Iraq are actually glad we are there. Ever watch the videos? Most of them LOVE the americans there because we brought them hope for a better life. It's easy to say that the war is illegal when you think about people here. The real question is: "Can we really let innocent's suffer and maintain ourselves as honorable and moral people?" |
