That surely doesn’t appear to be what the biblical stories reveal. The biblical stories reveal a God that want to play HIDE and SEEK, not a God that want to have a relationship with his people.

It’s about a God who had a chosen people, and a chosen nation, and a prophecy that says that his chosen people will be the focal point of a future holocaust.

It not about a God ALMIGHTY. It’s about a God that isn’t almighty at all. It’s about a God who is at war with a fallen angel.

It’s about a God who is battling with this fallen angel. And even though this God will supposedly eventually win the war he is still clearly in a battle with this fallen angel. A battle that has taken such great tolls on humanity that God, himself, had to drown all out his own creation at one point and start the whole war game all over again basically from scratch for all intents and purposes.

Clearly this God is stubborn and refused to admit that Satan had won the game at that point.

It’s about God who created sin by deciding what he would consider to be right or wrong.

It’s about a God who can’t forgive sins unless he is first appease by a blood sacrifice.

It’s about a God who is so obsessed with blood sacrifices that he required his own Son to be butchered just so he could forgive man for disobeying his rules.

It’s about a God who is so vain that he’s obsessed with the idea of becoming the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and have every knee bow to him and every tongue confess that he is the supreme ruler of his very own creation.

It’s about a self-confessed jealous God.

It’s about a God who is so powerless that he has to weep when people are sent to the hell that he created for them because there is nothing he can do to save them from their own demise.

It’s a about a God who is supposedly all-wise, yet he didn’t have to wisdom to create a universe where there are no losers. A scheme that even mortal men have already recognized could have been the case had the biblical God been a little more wise and a little less jealous perhaps.

In short, it’s a religion that makes outrageous claims that are self-inconsistent and no less absurd than Greek Mythology.

Do you really believe that the creator of this universe would have designed a scheme that would result in perfectly decent intelligent people sitting around arguing how absurd the story is?

If a believe in this religion (or a relationship with Jesus) fills your life with personal joy that’s great!

But as a world religion it doesn’t fly. It’s too focused on WAR. You’re either on God’s SIDE or Satan’s SIDE. Put on your crash helmet and prepare for battle. It doesn’t really matter which side your on because it’s obviously just some sort of meaningless game anyway if the God is truly supposed to be all-powerful because an all-powerful God wouldn’t be powerless to prevent descent people from such a terrible fate that even God himself has to weep over it.

That’s not a GOD ALMIGHTY!. That’s a God who has absolutely no power or control over anything.

what is truth to one may not be truth to another. who are we to judge?

If MorningSong wants to believe in a GOD ALMIGHTY that isn't a religion but comes complete with a strick doctrine that is the only true word of God, that's fine with me.

I genuinely have no desire to convince her otherwise on a personal level.

But she seems to be suggesting by this that anyone who doesn't recognize this one doctrine as the true word of God and who doesn't have a relationship with Jesus, is somehow on the wrong track.

And then she refuses to recognize this as a religion?

just because someone prays in the Name of Jesus..or uses the name of Jesus .....doesn't mean DIDDLY SQUAT, IF it is Not the same Jesus that the Bible speaks of !!!

I mean the Jesus that was crucified dead and buried, ans rose again, and lives today!

Cause yes..there are FASLSE Jesus's out there...fasle prophets, false messiahs...

but God said, my Sheep hear my voice and the voice of a stranger they will NOT follow.

Are you one of God' Sheep?
Then you will be able to recognize the TRUE Shepherd's Voice....and you will know when you are hearing a false Jesus being spoken of .

One way to recognize the false false Jesus .. the followers DENY the virgin birth, for one.....and say that there is more than one way to Heaven....uh oh....this is the NEW AGE Jesus.....and NOT the Jesus spoken of , in the Bible at all!!

That is why it is important to get Saved, so you will KNOW the Shepherd's Voice, cause many lying spirits are already out there in the world...deceiving many.

But with the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives, we will be able to recognize our Sheperd's Voice....and also, we have the Holy Spirt to lead and Guide us into all truth.
Amen.

And so what does a Shepard do with his sheep when he comes to harvest them? Do they get sheered, slaughtered or taken to market and sold to the highest bidder?

Just wondering. After all you are sheep. Livestock. Owned by your God. Purchased by the blood.

Why are people so afraid to judge?

People make judgments everyday, and yet so many people have a thing against making judgments and are afraid to admit that they judge.

If you think you are right, then you naturally believe the other person who does not agree must be wrong. If you don't, then you are not sure that your are right.

I'm going to let one of my alternate personalities come to the surface here and she is sometime rather crude and blunt. Her name is Jackie.

JB...i can only speak for myself. I don't like being judgemental (even though i'm human and it happens at times)but i do have my opinions, impressions and beliefs. but i have realized that sometimes not everything is as clear as it seems to be. again i can only speak for myself. i think they are different things.

Ahhh, you did, my friend and I caught it--and so with that in mind I don't suppose there is much more that I can do here--at least to that end.
