eh.. most of that is a bit of an exaggeration Oh, I don't know about that. My oldest son went to live with his father for 12 months when he was in 9th grade. The ant hill blown up: My son loved chemistry. Did a few experiments in his father's back yard. His chem teacher and I knew it was Brian's deep interest in chemistry (he wanted to be either a chem teacher, english lit teacher or an attorney) and his desire to learn and we also thought it a bit funny. Daddy dearest wanted to put Brian in a mental institute! That is where daddy dearest belonged, but you know the saying about 'reverse psychology.' Needless to say Brian expressed his personal opinion of his father to his father (NOW that is a memory made in heaven ) and came back home to his mom and brother! I can relate to almost everyone of these scenarios having raised two boys, and myself having grown up in the 1950's. Oh, they are all true about the 1950's. And, today's reaction, just listen to the news. Lindyy |

Embrace the future, learn from the past, live for today. The world is not, nor will it ever be what we knew. Time to move on.

Aw, what is the kitten's name? So true about mom and dad waiting. Today, seems a lot of parents are too busy or just do not want to have a confrontation with their kids. My youngest son got suspended one time for smoking in boy's room. 'AT home' suspension. OH YIPPEE! Vacation time. I went to the principal and FOUGHT with him to get my son 'in school' suspension. I won, my son hated me. OH, WELL.............. Lindyy |

parents won't be parents....plain and simple. they either place the blame on someone else or instead of handling things like they should...they want to sue. there are alot of parents that want to play mommy and daddy like the kids were dolls. dolls you don't have to be responsible for their actions or teach them right from wrong. kids aren't dolls
