seth I totally agree...if the parents can show how to parent....then unless the kids have a good mentor out there...they won't know how to be parents either.
A little bit of a good role modle will go a long way
little kids and even teenagers will grab onto something thay
like or respect, Good or bad,
Im glad we agree, I tired of arguing with folks.
By the way this thing was originaly 'School 1958 vs.2008' published in BACK WOODS HOME MAGAZINE 111, It came out this last week, it has 16 extra pages this issue, yall go check it out, thay are on the web.

Hey, thanks. I received it today as an e-mail and found it to be very thought provoking. I will check the newer version you mentioned.

Now I agree with the parenting thing. Because of economical effects on the family mainly, we stopped raising our children. Most children are raised by daycares and public schools since parents have to both work to live. And not live well just survive. It is not because of religion coming out of schools, it was the lack of parental presence that is the problem.

But if we were to make a comparison, imagine how shocked and dismayed the people from the 1920s were about the changes in the schools in 1957.

The clothing difference alone would cause shock.huh That "evil" rock blues music with that nasty sexual dancing.noway huh Those "bad" boys in gangs and wearing their hair all long.huh That "evil" dope smoking going on with those bad kidslaugh , all those commy bastards (which included anyone not white, christian, etc..., etc.......

Change happens, that is what happens as people grow and change.
