It is a shame people can be deceptive with pictures and essays. I don't know what they think they will gain. Finally when someone meets them in person, their deceptive ways will be found out.

too long for me - i'd rather chat to get to know someone a little more. JMO
It's funny how different we all are. I won't even take the time to message someone if I don't see what I like in the profile..in the essay. If they don't capture me there, I don't talk to them. i do agree with the capture part, but capture me quick!!
How can they get your attention without words? keywords!  i guess people can say all they want in a profile, but until i chat or talk to them, you never know if there's a 'click', so i generally skim a profile and go from there. just me.

I am a "word" person. I want to make sure that they can form complete sentences, that they have a good attitude, that they have goals and ideal, that we have common interests. Have I mentioned that I have been single a loooooooooong time? Maybe there is a connection.
