Topic: Chew on this a while..... | |

Ok you really like someone, and you have gone out 3-4 times and had a wonderful time. Wine flows freely and they tell you something personal. It seems that they have some rare tropical disease and aren't expected to live any longer than 2 years max.
So... do you cut your losses and end it with them now to prevent assured heartbreak in the future. OR Do you stand beside them regardless of the odds? |

Stand by them.... wouldn't you hope they'd stand by you?

I would stand by them because I cared for them.
Make sure they wouldn't be alone when they died. |

How can you honestly devote yourself to someone you have only been out with 3 or 4 times... i would be friend them and be there for them but that would be it ... |

we are meant to know, care for, and love many people in this lifetime. the relationship may not be long term, but they still may have love to give you that you can carry on in life... even if it means we have to go through pain, they are still worth including among our loved ones

Been there. Done that. And I would do it again. I met someone who became my best friend, just after meeting a few times. Later married them, and a year and a half later, he died. Yes, I would do it. I would do it all over again. I wouldn't want to miss a thing in my life that is meant for me to experience.

Stick by them, in 2 years they could find a cure, better treatment, etc. They could even turn out to live longer than 2 years. |

Ive found that the medical field is full of bs most of the time and most people outlive the outcomes of whatever doctors have told them......
If I really loved them then I would stick by them! |
