But how'd you get to that point? And what are the expectations? How'd ya know it should get to that point? How do you go from email to meeting? What is the process for such a thing? I've heard of so many matches just in this thread and I'm so curious as to how that works!

Well its was just one day at a time that is all it took. And lost of patient an friends in a near by state that said i could visit them for a week

Good question I'd like to know the answer to that one..... Problem w/ getting to know someone who's not local is all you have to go by is what they tell you. Then you start having feelings towards someone that "You THINK you know"....when really Until you can meet them face to face and see their true side or their real life situation then...... I feel it's questionable as to wether you've really fallen in love.... (with the person you've gotten to know via the puter, IM, teleph.) I've had my heart crushed just a few too many times to really have TOTAL faith in this meeting someone on line. I'm not saying I'm giving up totally.... but let's just say I'm EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS more now than even before!!!!

Well, I met one local person via internet about 6-7 years ago or so. He was everything that he said he was and it worked for a short while and then blew up. Just like anything else I guess.

I guess that's the question though...is it more of a gamble this way? Maybe it's the sum total of my experiences, but I'm not convinced that I will meet ANYONE through any means that is going to be a good match for me.
