What does it mean to you? I think men & women may have dirrent ideas about this. To me it means a woman who spends a lot of time & money on herself & expects a man to foot the bill for her lifestyle. I think of expensive clothes, jewelry, cars, vacations, frequent manicures & hair appointments. I am definately not high maintenance by this defination, however I have been told by men that I am. I think they might mean the amount of time & attention I want. What does "high maintenace" mean to you?

It can mean many things. I think a bi-polar OCD Depressed Psycho also fits the bill. But that's just me.

It's both. It varies from woman to woman and can be many different ways. Money, time, attention, a lot of care. A high maintenance woman is any woman who requires an excess of something to keep her happy.

It means nothing is simple.

It means you can't just go out for a burger and a shake and enjoy... you have to go to this restuarant, or that one, and you can't go to that one because one time in 1989 she found a dead fly on the floor....

It means renting a movie is a chore because you can't just go and rent something new or something familiar and go home and watch it. No, you need to make sure that the DVD plays correctly before you leave the store because she's been screwed before by DVDs that don't play. And if they have three movies for 5 bucks, you have to get three movies instead of one movie for 3.99 because that's a better deal....

You can't go take in a baseball game at the local team's park because the sun is glaring and there's no way you're going to sit in the middle because then you have to walk down the aisle every time you want to get up and why do you have to keep getting up now that you're sitting on the aisle, don't these people know you're trying to watch a game? Why are the bathrooms so far away. I'm not eating a hot dog. Is the car safe in the parking lot?

i have the same idea of High Maintenance as you

well imo, there are two different types. the loads of cash spent on herself and dumb ****, expecting me to pay out for more dumb ****. or the clingy "i gotta call him 20 times a day" kinda girl.

i'm not ok with the first type at all. i'm not big on posessions anyway, so someone who lives their life by what they have and how they look wouldn't be for me. that's shallow and a very sad life.

the 2nd type, i'm semi ok with, but not to the excessive extent. i'm all for doing things with and being with my girlie, why else would i have her? but i hate the deal where you get called and noone has **** to say but you gotta stay on the phone. gotta devote your time to some bs. i'm all for spending time, i'm all for being with her more than my friends. i'm not intending to be intimate with friends nor anything else. I'M probably too high mantainence on that level than a few girls wanna deal with. i don't believe a relationship is about space and always doing your own thing, that's a friendship with sex and me spending my money.

I must be low maintenance then because I do most of that stuff for myself. I would think a woman who expected a boyfriend to pay for all of that sort of stuff would be what used to be called a mistress. I sure don't play that game.

I guess I might fit some of your examples. I am fine with a hot dog & coke from a gas station, but it has to be a clean gas station...

Wow that would drive me out the door fast. What I can't understand is the guys who put up ith that baloney for years then want to torture me for someone elses sins. I don't treat people that way. I don't know it is always the really pretty girls that act that way but sometimes I wonder if guys don't put up with it because the girl does look good?
