wrong to be friends with your x husband?

|

depends on who benefits......

I think it's a good thing, at the very least I think it should be civil between the two parties.

Not at all..its actually healthy to be able to have a good relationship....If you're better off as friends then so be it...Sometimes you just have to "let it go"..all the bad energy...it takes a weight off you..and allows you to feel peace within...

Depends on the couple

Not really, but it all depends on the type of relationship between the two people.

I guess if the reason you're no longer married doesn't involve abuse or infidelity, then I think it may be possible. My ex was an abuser and an alcoholic, so I am civil to him, only because he straightened out his life, and 1 of our kids live with him, but if he died tomorrow, I wouldn't be sad, nor do I regret getting divorced. I'm only sorry I stayed married for 15 years, hoping his family was more important than beer every day. Sorry for the novel!

wrong to be friends with your x husband? My mom and dad have been divorced since 95 and they are best friends, even after we all have moved out, they remain friends. |

Some people can manage it. How, I don't know. They are probably better people than me. I would feel to much pain to maintain that kind of friendship.
