Not at all..its actually healthy to be able to have a good relationship....If you're better off as friends then so be it...Sometimes you just have to "let it go"..all the bad energy...it takes a weight off you..and allows you to feel peace within...

I guess if the reason you're no longer married doesn't involve abuse or infidelity, then I think it may be possible. My ex was an abuser and an alcoholic, so I am civil to him, only because he straightened out his life, and 1 of our kids live with him, but if he died tomorrow, I wouldn't be sad, nor do I regret getting divorced. I'm only sorry I stayed married for 15 years, hoping his family was more important than beer every day. Sorry for the novel!laugh

noway My mom and dad have been divorced since 95 and they are best friends, even after we all have moved out, they remain friends.

Some people can manage it. How, I don't know. They are probably better people than me. I would feel to much pain to maintain that kind of friendship.

...my Xhusband was my best friend for 10 years b4 we messed up and got married...we are still good friends, but we live in diff states..so i havnt seen um for 15 years...
