For those who think of upgrading to the next generation processiors the best mother board thatis out now is the K9N NEO V3 from MSI.
I is certified for windows vista and is for AMD 64 Athlon x2 wich is compatable for the new AMD Phenom . it has 1000mhz fsb supoports am2 amd athlon 64x2/athlon 64/sempron processor according to there site they will handel the phenom as well. Dual-channel DDR2 800 4 dimms for dual channelddr2-800/667/533 up to 8gb addressabity. pci, support 3 pci v2.3 slots pci express 16x support 1 pcix16 and 2 pcie x1 slot sat a2 support 4 sata2 devices up to300 mb/s audio support 7.1 channel hd audio usb 2.0 support 10 usb 2.0 high speed ports gigabit lan support 10/100/1000 ethernet connection well iam a proud owner of and i love it but this is the way to go if you want to get a good board |

no its discribes what it has in the board it self but if any one who is going to upgrade and what to know what board to get i would choose this one.

The asus m3a is also good for the new processors, ie amd phenom
|

it maybe but msi is on the top selling boards and has a 3 year warenty on it the other boards good this board i have is a long board so it has a lot of room

I havent messed with the msi board so I cant say one way or the other. I personaly have the m3a and it is a fantastic board for gaming, video editing, etc.

msi has nvidia chip set and its made just for gaming i love it

AAAAA. I try to steer clear of nvidia. Iv had nothing but problems with most of there equipment. I try to stick with amd. Plus its cheaper.

Nvidia is awesome and usually quite reliable, I quite fancy that dual ddr support and the 7.1 HD audio...that my friend is nice.

i love it i just installed it a few days ago for only 131.00 not bad thats the cost of the board

sounds good but when it gets some age come back and post if you still like it
i have had an msi board in the past it lasted about 4 years if i remember correctly replaced it 2 years ago along with an upgraded processor worked good til it didnt (but four years it is time for an upgrade anyway [ussually]) also had an asus board same time frame (about) i have a biostar now (it works fine) (but i do not play high speed games) |

i had a biostar prior to this one this is the new toy it works well in deed and i did own a msi befor the biostar but now this board has a 3 year warrenty on it so im not worried

That board sounds good. If it had Tri-SLI support, I'd snag it.
