Topic: A distant family member (3rd cuz)

passes away suddenly. The funeral is scheduled for the same time you have plans for a first date that you are extremely excited about. What do you do?

I would send flowers and go on the date.....both are taken care of....

if their distant then i must not know them to well, go to the funeral, skip out quick and go on the date

I never go to distant relatives funerals. I would be going to a funeral every other week.

I think you can do both, most funerals are during the day.

you go to funeral a pay last respects. date is alive you can rescedule that but death and funerals are just once.

wait.....is the funeral or the viewing the day of the date, usually the viewing is a day before the funeral....so you can make one of them and not look like an ass

i would go to there funeral. one funeral. oppurtunites of lots of dates, wouldnt be a second thought to go on the date

I would send flowers and go on the date.....both are taken care of.... Ditto for if they are distant then that means I don't really know them most likely. But now if it was a cousin I grew up with that passed away I would go to the funeral.

I know all of my many third cousins. All of my family will be at the funeral too. Family first. If my date is not capable of understanding that, he is not the one for me.
