ME-ISM: In the beginning there was an explosion that created the Ultimate Being, which created everything.

I kinda like the version where Captain Kirk found his son and started life in the storage bay with the Genesis machine...

Christianity: In the beginning there was an Ultimate Being. Which created everything. Atheism: In the beginning there was nothing. Which exploded. I'm sorry, but you are behind the times on the big bang theory. You would be more correct to say the following: In the beginning, there was something, but we aren't sure what it was. That something expanded, which was impossible, due to the gravity created by the something, but it happened anyways for an unknown reason. |

Thanks for catching up to speed!

Incidentally, did you know that scientists initially opposed the Big Band theory, because they believed that it supported a deist view of creation? If something has a beginning, then it must have been created, right? The scientific community still struggles to find a way to say that the universe had a beginning (which it clearly did) and it will have an end (there is no doubt that will will) but is still eternal. Contrary to what some may claim, science still has no answer for how the universe could be finite (have a beginning and end) and yet still be eternal.

The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind and they may be seen in the church basement Friday.
Ambiguity anyone? |

Christianity: In the beginning there was an Ultimate Being. Which created everything. Atheism: In the beginning there was nothing. Which exploded. I am going to apologize in advance because this is going to sound rude even though it's not supposed to but I don't know how else to ask. Although what is this post trying to accomplish? Are you just stating that that is what you believe or are you trying to open up a debate between Christianity and Atheism, or are you trying to say that Atheism doesn't make sense so it must be wrong? I am just not sure how I am supposed to respond to that original post. |

Clearly you are the one who is behind the times in science. What you've stated here isn't even close to what modern science has to say on the topic. |

The universe necessarily needs both, a beginning and an end, if it necessarily needs either...
But does it? |

The universe necessarily needs both, a beginning and an end, if it necessarily needs either... But does it? According to modern science the Big Bang was not the beginning. It was only the beginning of our physical world. Most people are still living in the Newtonian era when it comes to science. |

Abracadabra, You are wrong and I'm tired of your puerile argumentiveness. Your gratuitous assertions "Spider knows nothing about science" only fools those who wish to be fooled. The Big Bang theory is that there was a singularity (what is a singularity? We don't know!) and that it expanded (how did it expand? We don't know!). The entire theory is based on assumptions, which cannot be proven. If you disagree with that, then join the club, but THAT IS THE THEORY. |

You people are way too serious!
Captain Kirk was a hottie and I thought his way was quite fun. |

Awe poor baby. Take an aspirin and call me in the morning. My point has been proven. You don't disagree with my understanding of the Big Bang, you disagree with me as a person. I have every right to post, but I choose not to because of your unrepentantly bad behavior. The childishness and rudeness that pervades most of your posts makes this forum less palatable with every single post you make. Honestly, you almost had me beat. Your negativity and subborn rudeness has driven many away from here and almost got me. I hope that whatever hurts you have are eventually healed, so that you can stop being a misanthrope and actually participate in civilized and polite discussions. |

Feel better now? Your hatred for me ejects from your nostrils like steam erupting from a blistering caldron. You audacious insults pelt against my pure naked innocence like the slobbering spit from a fire-spewing dragon. All because of your love for an ancient deity that cannot withstand the slightest breath of pure unadulterated reason. May the force be with you my friend, and may peace find its way into the bosom of your heart where it can languish the sweltering coals of your eternal fervor for loathing. The sun will shine again. Honestly, you almost had me beat.
I didn’t know we were at war or I would have adorned myself with a chain-mail suit of armor. Fortunately I was already wearing my asbestos underwear. But that was really meant to protect me from the hot and horny women around this place. |

A lot of Sciencists are beginning to see that what the bible says, is truth aferall.
And a lot of scientists today... in their new recent views ....are finding now....that science and the bible...agree... Google "Science and the Bible"...with Dr Hall. |
