Love is a bashful smile,
A sweetly spoken hello, A soft embrace... Love is two hands intertwined as one, It is a slow lingering kiss, A swell inside your chest... Love is admitting wrongs, A mothers touch, A child's innocent giggle, Love is undeniable, Unforgettable, Unimaginable, What every person's heart hungers for... But it takes time. That is love. I posted this in poetry before, but I thought it was appropriate here too. |

i agree and then i was asked . . . .
So then...why does life get in our way? Why do we hide behind optimistic fronts? Miles...the jaded thoughts of past experience. Time buries these feelings beneath disregarded regret....but they never truly dissipate. So why? |

It's not a curse to be optimistic. It's not false optimism, or "optimistic fronts", rather, it's not being true to themselves. It's not being honest with who they are and what they want.
Life only gets in the way if we let it. It's more a choice, than a reality. She was supposed to call today, but instead she chose to sit online chatting and making up posts and threads on various websites. It wasn't life that got in the way, it was the choices SHE made, and to a certain extent, the choices I made to wait for a call that never came. Overcoming obstacles is easily accomplished with optimism intact, with honesty as it's guide, and with communication as it's ultimate alliance. The integrity of the process cannot be measured by time or life, but rather by pure love. |
