(((Judy))) I have a dog Fire that I love like a son.. It may be strange to most but he understands what I say, knows when he's in trouble and at times is just to stupid to care.. I get it all he's almost human lol or thinks he is.. But I wouldn't leave this dog or get rid of him for anything... My dog and my niece sort of grew up together. He is very protective of her. Certain dogs are that way Wiley... |

i don't like protective animals, usualy that means that they think you are their property not if they know who is alpha.. my dog protects anything smaller than what's going after something.. and always women and children and smaller animals except for the one dog he just can't stand and I don't know why... |

i don't like protective animals, usualy that means that they think you are their property Most dominant male types don't.....threatens their "Alpha" Male to see something else protecting their "property" |

A dog needs to know that the human is the dominant entity but toast you are right "some" dogs don't get it.. from what I've seen it's mostly inbreds, pits and a few freak incidences which usually includes abuse..

My uncle had a boxer that had a sweet personality and liked kids. |

I'm not the greatest trainer but my dog understands me... the only time I can't control him is if someone just walks into the house...

i have cousins who have 3 boxers.
and i can throw up a negative example. as a kid my brother had one bite him in the face. i could train a beagle to eat your face if i wanted |
|

Wiley I could have swore not a page ago you said you were sober

I was. I'm not anymore.

i meant to add with that boxer example. the cousins, they have 3 kids and regularly have people over. not a single issue.
i know someone who has a pit that's a really nice dog. i might get one myself just cuz everyone thinks they're horrible |
