I call myself old sage, as people frequently say "I am wise beyond my years." Also ask where I learned all these old sayings?

Being with my grandkids, helps me realize just how "set in my ways" I really am. My daughter is raising her children the way she wants to(as is her right) and I am trying to compromise my ideas, because it is her job, not mine. Even though I think one way, it is she that makes that decision.
