never give anyone the power to lower your self esteem nor your self worth. those that label are usually lacking 
I've had the lowest self esteem since I was 13, people have called me ugly and fat my whole life, and this surgery just made me plummet I'm just afraid that it would make everything worse you know? Just my opinion but take a step back and view the entire situation from an outsiders point of view. *We are all responsible for how we feel and how "we" allow others to make us feel.* If you take that power back you and only you will be in control/charge of your happiness.

well at one time my uncle would say that implanted breasts felt fake like you could tell and they were disgusting. 
Felt.........fake...............disgus......di...........disgust...................I can't bring myself to say the words...... 
I've been abducted by aliens and taken to bizzaro world where everything is backwards.....

I think you're thinking too much about the surgery. It will be a good thing for you. Don't worry about it.

I guess that would be true, but my whole life, everyone has stepped all over and for fear of making anyone angry by saying something back I just accept that their opinion is right and not say anything. I guess it comes from having a grandfather whom you lived with who was a colonel in the air force who believe all women were paracites and was polish lol you learn to accept what they say and never stand up for yourself. |

opinions are like noses we all have one doesnt make one right and the other wrong as for your grandfather (no disrespect) but WTF!!! lol keep posting in the forums - trust me all these people will boost your self esteem and show ya the ropes. Life is great, but it is also what we make of it. |

Women who have masectomies from cancer do it too. It's not a vanity issue. Be proud of who you are!!! There's only one of you.

I think it is a self esteem issue not just implants. find a way to bring the self esteem up. i'm sure you can think of a lot of positive affirmations for yourself. that is a good step to start rebuilding self esteem. no one can make you feel good about yourself...it comes from with in you. i have NO doubt you can find a lot of positive things to counteract the negative |

That's true, I guess I am just thinking too hard on the surgery not thinking really what it would mean to me and to my life, It would make me more confident, I just have to lose my fat and I could actually have a high (not too high of course) self eteem. and my grandfather is kinda strange I know, he thinks just because my dad was a bit of a lazy guy and I'm related to him I will never amount to anything. same for my blood sister. |

Yeah they use the dissolving stiches for those and the first surgery's scar was practically white by the time they got around to this surgery, but I'm worried about the left side, all the stiches! I'm afraid that one won't be so nonexistant

Not so much. I have a few good friends, a good guy, and a college education (still coming though lol). But really that's about it. how about other things...good heart, good friend, kind, beautiful eyes, the fact that you are going to college. there are sooooooooooo many other things i know you can think of. and why do you think you have a good guy??? there is something about you there....or good friends...there are reasons they are good and are with you. find out yourself...not what they see in you though
