I wish I could find another job. i am tired of the call center!

I did those for almost two years. Not again if I can help it.

I have been in one since 99 and i really screwed up a good job. i wish i could get something with my degree, but they dont want to pay either!
they want to know why i have not worked in the area i have a degree in. well do you realize that 8hr. does not keep one alive!

The film business is no picnic either, especially when you work in the special effects industry- they all cry 'low budget' to try to get you to work for peanuts, and THEN they try to get you to work insane hours to get their use out of you. And don't get me started on the whole 'let's just ignore the fact the effects guy has to shoulder a buttload of responsibility and regulation' crap they try to con us into as well.

Then you have these idiots from other departments (like props) who think they can just walk in and do certain jobs that I'm technically responsible for, like various fire and candle effects. They just don't get that you have to be licensed with the state (and, in some cases, the federal government) to be able to do those things.

Exactly!!! Im in it for the long haul b/c Ive already been there 24 years. It pays the bills and there are worse jobs.

i think that i have one of the worse jobs. i will have to get a second job cuz the student loan people think that i hve enough money to send them 170 a month. I dont have that EXTRA so I am going to have to get another job . JOY

now, that DOES suck!
