call a local vet most are kool, or look for a rabbit rescue
but be prepared if the rabbit is a week old and hes not eating, he might not make it best of luck |

Vet, it is terribly difficult to care for a baby rabbit and should not be attempted by anyone but a trained professional.

There probably isn't anything to do...and I know that sucks. There is formula, and you could take it to a vet.. We raised some wild ones when my girls were young and they did well...finally released them in the country when they were several weeks old...Probably were eaten by a coyote that night

I know its a long shot. A friend asked for help. Well, I figure someone might be smarter than this ole boy.

You can buy animal milk formula and little baby bottles from the pet stores or vet, and they need to be fed on an hourly to 2 hour schedule. We raised some when we were kids. Need to keep it warm and dry of course. A trip to the vet is a really good idea, especially for the hurt leg. They are a lot of work, but may have a chance. The vet can give you better instructions. Hope it makes it.

Hi try contacting your local animal shelter they should have Phone numbers of people experienced in rehabilatating wild animals. Good luck.

A friend found a baby rabbit(one week old from what I can tell), with a wounded leg. Anyone with ideas to help? It sounds bad, but maybe shooting the rabbit in the head would be best for it. I don't think it would make it out in the wild. A headshot will be quick and painless. |

\what type of wound??? You should clean the wound with hibitane soap which you can buy over the counter in most drug stores. But its best to get him to the vet so he can get some antibiotics.
