I have been talking to this young woman not from here but off another site. All of a sudden which I knew it would happen sooner or later because she is from NIGERIA, any way's a week or so goes by and I already told her I wouldn't send her money etc. Low and behold she is asking me for money for getting some kind of letter from school, Normally I wouldn't care if it's a few bucks but she was asking for $100 bucks, I was thinking and thinking then she tells me her dad lawyer could give her the money and I told her today why not get it from him, since like all woman from over there both mom and dad are dead in some kind of addicent.So this lawyer has the money.

Crazy enough she wanted to do an online marriage and I don't even know how that works, then she goes once she is done over there she would come over here and get a real marriage and we can live happy ever after etc.

Personaly I do not know if I have some kind of sign on my body some where saying hey all you NIGERIA woman come talk to me and ask me for money that I don't have as it is.

She goes if she doesn't get this money then the paper won't be handed out again.

I thought about sending it out but then I was like I just couldn't do it and I wouldn't stop thinking about it, besides I have enough stress and other things on my mind, I do not need this to add to it.

I know she will be upset with me but oh well.

Any body ever talk to people from NIGERIA and have this happen to them ??????.

I used to get a few, but I have always assumed that anything that originates from Nigeria is probably a scam, and I have never even considered sending them anything.

Some of the Nigerian scammers seem to have recognized the fact that their country is a sort of a geographical red flag now, and have moved their operations to the Ivory Coast. Watch for e-mails from there, too.

I personally prefer the ones from Russia/Ukraine/Belarus, where every girl looks exactly like Hilary Duff in "Cheaper By the Dozen."

lol well im guessin the other site might be singlesnet... and yes it is a scam... they will send u pics, message u non stop, and its prolly some guy... these scams r very common, more common for them to say they r from here but Visa ran out and want to come back... but yes sad as it sounds u have most likely been talkin to some guy

Most of the email scams where they talk about helping them cash a check for a large amount of money (and there's lots of different stories they use) and ask for your checking account number so they can deposit the money there, originate in Nigeria and a bunch of them have been indicted for these scams. What would likely happen is for a hundred bucks you wouldn't go wrong and the deal would go down then another deal or two for more money would come along or they would get your account number for some reason or another and one day, voila, your account is drained.

Don't do anything with these people, just the name Nigeria should be the big giveaway.

OH!!!!! YEA!! i have gotten number of them, and many came from the dating sites, not this one though... i had a 60yr old man tell me he was in love with me off the bat, and we had been talking about a week and he was calling me his wife(DONT THINK SO) then he was asking about money and such and if i would open account for his clients... and ask if i could get credit card for 15,000,, i dont think so.. i finally block his butt.
they will be sweet to you, and try and win you over and the next thing you hear is money...
i even get emails from banks from nigeria

I watched a thing on a major news show, 24 Hours or the like. There are a bunch of women, and men, in one office all doing this garbage at the same time, and LIVING WELL off of us. Please don't even think of putting ANY money out. Just ignore. And, by the way, once they get ONE chump, ALL THE SLEAZES will hit you up. They share!!!!!!

Yeah singlesnet is another site that is filled with these woman, I had at least two or more hit me up saying how much they love me and then they stopped talking to me.

I had one still speaking to me for a whole year and wanted money but I said no, heard noting for a while then she started to speak to me again then she stop.

Oh well crazy internet world and yet I know this woman will be upset with me about not helping her out, I simply told her it rejected my card and turned me down, she told me she was going to bed after her thanks email and then I emailed her back with that, and yet it's 3:35 pm or so it say's for the time of the email send by her.. funny, because I never go to bed in the afternoon, maybe for a nap or something.. but I hardy ever do that.
