Duffy,
I'm with you and MorningSong on this one! I much prefer to read stories with a moral, ethical, and wholesome message than any form of vulgarity or garbage. Verily, I look forward to any other stories you may post. God Bless You! |

Twilight

Do not have your hopes up too much about the first movie.. the books are -imo- 200% better and more entertaining.. those who have not read the series though do enjoy the movie a lot though.. a lot of those who did read books felt the movie was terribly made and such.. The Twilight Saga, thus far at least, is infinitly better as a read. There was so much put into the movie that, had you not first read the book, you would not have understood its meaning. Catherine Hardwick did a good job of getting the essential 'core' elements of the plotline worked into the movie. However, the book had to be shortened so much to fit into movie form, that a lot of the humorous elements were gone from Stephenie Meyer's original version. There were some parts that were unintentionally funny in the movie, as some of the least experienced actor/actresses did give a rather plastic performance-imo-. Twilight was filmed on an insanely low budget making the first movie a bit of a flop(as some fans would agree.) However, because of the vastly wide ranging fans of the book, the movie was the most viewed of the year and grossed over $380 million. Because of the fan devotion and excellent turnout of profits from the first film, Summit Entertainment has allowed for a much higher budget for New Moon. New Moon's NEW director, Chris Weitz, hopes to stay as close to the book as possible, as well as make up for parts of the story that may have gone untold in the first movie. The fans have been promised that New Moon will not disappoint in the re-telling of the original story as well as the special effects, action sequences, dramatic elements, and all other areas of the first film that were 'lacking something.' I'd still reccomend to anyone who has not read the books to read them before the movies come out, because they always change some things in any film that goes from book to screen. As far as the improvements of New Moon, I guess we'll all just have to wait and see! I personally can't wait to be at the premiere! 'In Theatre' Release Dates: New Moon: November 20, 2009 Eclipse: June 30, 2010 Breaking Dawn: *currently confidential/unreleased* |

Twilight!! *Echos Sentiment* Agreed. The 'kiss scene' in Twilight is fantastic. Not just in the 'scene' itself. But rather the complexities of the characters and their underlying emotional turmoil during the scene. |

What i disagree with about you Christian fundamentalists is that you truly believe that your views are the ultimate correct views - which is the same view al-Qaida takes on Islam. You are taking biblical verses and translating them to fit your own agenda, the same way al-Qaida takes Qura'anic verses and fits them into thier terroristic doctrines. It's simple logic that thou shall not kill. Be nice to everyone, love one another, these are all the basic principles of every human culture. There are Jesus people all over this planet. People who long for peace, and good life, for understanding, for an end to violence. Not based one one religion, but based on human spirit and kindness. Jesus likes spiritual 'fruits'--not religious nuts! |

To many bible thumpers and not enough bars and strip joints. Thats what the problem is with jacksonville. The people down town wonder WHY noone want to come to this town. Noone wants to come here and listen to that ****. They want to go to a town where they can have fun and relax. Cant do that here. I get stoped by this guys type and they say to power of god compells you to which I reply The pown of god compells you to suck my ****. Unlike most in this town I speak my mind and if this guys type dont like it they can piss off. The Big man wants you to be happy. you follow the few rules he has and your good to go. You dont have to follow what some dip**** church tells you to get in. To all the bible thumpers out there. You dont like what I have to say then dont read my post. Just that simple. Also on a side note you can go **** yourself! Sounds like you have a lot of evil infulences in your life. The tenor of your post sounds a lot like the mindset I had before I was introduced to Jesus. That was such a dark and depressing part of my life-I'd never choose to re-live it. And actually, I've never had more "fun and relaxing" times than since I have formed a relationship with Jesus. But, you are right in that you don't necessarily follow what 'some church' tells you--though you might try following, and walking WITH Jesus as a friend. You never know, you might find that you actually enjoy having a best friend like him. Just the same, if you try it and you don't like Jesus, I'm positive the Devil will always be glad to take you back! May God bless you and save you, if it is right that He should do so! I pray that you find peace, joy, and love in the Lord. |

Michael,
Amen! I totaly agree, and this was so very eloquently put. Thanks for posting! Also, just a sidenote here; when I read this section of your post: I do most definitely believe there is a wrath to come. I don't however believe that 9/11 was a sign of God's wrath. Neither do I believe was the flooding in New Orleans, nor the tsunamis, or the tornadoes, or hurricanes, or any other irregular weather related or terrorist event. I believe that when the wrath of God is released, we won’t have to guess whether it is from God or not, we’ll know. I was reminded of something I'd seen once, and I thought you may like to see it also. The commentary is so great. So, I'd like to share this with you and anyone else who is interested in viewing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTOrw611uqM Peace & Joy be with you! God Bless! |
