E-mails Reveal DOJ Official Leaked Info To Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta

A Department of Justice official, who is responsible for keeping Congress up to date about the re-opened probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private, unsecured e-mail server during her tenure as secretary of State, reportedly leaked information about the initial probe to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, according to e-mails WikiLeaks published on Tuesday.

Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik, who sent a letter to Congress on Monday stating that the department would work with the FBI to “take appropriate steps as expeditiously as possible” when investigating Clinton, reportedly sent an e-mail to Podesta last year with the subject line “Heads up.”

“There is a HJC oversight hearing today where the head of our Civil Division will testify,” Kadzik wrote. “Likely to get questions on State Department emails. Another filing in the FOIA case went in last night or will go in this am that indicates it will be awhile (2016) before the State Department posts the emails.”

The e-mail, which is dated May 19, 2015, corresponds with a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the same day, during which DOJ Civil Division head Benjamin Mizer gave testimony. According to the official transcript of the hearing, Hillary’s e-mails were never mentioned, thus the “heads up” seems to indicate Kadzik was worried Republican representatives on the committee might bring it up when questioning Mizer. It also implies that Kadzik wanted Podesta to perhaps inform members of Congress on the committee who were friendly to Clinton so they could have an opportunity to redirect or thwart a line of questioning about Hilary’s e-mails.

The “heads up” e-mail is dated just two weeks after Kadzik asked Podesta to consider Kadzik’s son for a job on the Clinton campaign. His ask isn’t all that surprising, given their close relationship. In 1998, Kadzik was Podesta’s attorney when Podesta was being investigated for his role in getting Monica Lewinsky a job at the United Nations, according to Fox News. In an e-mail from 2008 which was published by WikiLeaks, Podesta wrote that Kadzik was a “fantastic lawyer” who “kept me out of jail.”

Clinton Foundation Scandal: A Justice Department Cover-Up Exposed?

Corruption: Lost in the hurricane of news about the FBI's renewed investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email is a bombshell of possibly greater importance — an apparent attempt by Obama's Justice Department to quash an FBI probe into the troubled Clinton Foundation.

Back in August, the Daily Caller reported that the FBI and several U.S. attorneys offices were conducting a joint investigation of the foundation for financial crimes and influence peddling.

It was a major story that, naturally, other news outlets ignored, until this weekend. In an extensive report on battles within the FBI and Justice Department over how to handle various investigations involving people in Clinton's orbit, the Wall Street Journal revealed deep in the story how senior officials at Justice tried to thwart the FBI from looking too closely at the Clinton Foundation.

"Early this year, four FBI field offices — New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Little Rock, Ark. — were collecting information about the Clinton Foundation to see if there was evidence of financial crimes or influence-peddling," the Journal reported.

But when these investigators presented their findings to the Justice Department in February 2016, Justice refused to grant them the authority to use more aggressive investigative techniques, such as issuing subpoenas or conducting formal interviews.

Then, on Aug. 12 — the day after the Daily Caller piece ran — a "very pissed off" senior Justice Department official called Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe after learning that FBI agents were nevertheless still pursuing the Clinton Foundation case.

The Journal quotes FBI agents who said they were then told to "stand down" from the probe.

Clinton Foundation memo reveals Bill and Hillary as partners in crime

Last week, WikiLeaks dropped a 2011 memo by top Bill Clinton aide Doug Band that lays bare Team Clinton’s sordid financial dealings when Hillary Clinton was secretary of State.

Band describes how the Clinton Foundation served as a conduit for what he called “Bill Clinton Inc.” — the former president’s for-profit arm. Other documents show State Department involvement.

The result is an unsavory mix of charity work, profiteering, and pay-to-play politics that potentially reaches the highest levels of US foreign policy and screams for IRS and Department of Justice reviews.

At center is Band and his consulting firm Teneo. Band served as gatekeeper to all things Bill Clinton. Those wanting a former president as golf partner ponied up. Requests for Foundation dough followed. Next came Clinton Inc. — the steady stream of speeches, books, and honorary titles that enriched Bill Clinton. Teneo managed it all.

Huge corporations and others seeking Clinton’s orbit lined up. Teneo’s clients included major U.S. corporations Coca-Cola and Dow Chemical, which donated huge sums.

Foreign firms like UBS donated and greased Clinton Inc.

For-profit Laureate International Universities went further, buying Clinton “advice” and rights to his prestige for $3.5 million annually. In all, Band states Teneo’s management yielded the former president $50 million — including a $2 million upfront slice of Band’s firm — with another $66 million queued. Band also facilitated political activity including securing campaign donors and managing Clinton’s political schedule.

Before daughter Chelsea Clinton intervened and ordered a compliance review, no one separated charity from profit-making time. Blurred lines were most blatant at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) — the annual confab where the world’s elite fete the former president and discuss world events.

According to the memo Teneo embedded at the conference’s hotel, hustled business, comped $20,000 CGI memberships to potential clients, and burnished its Clinton-gatekeeper role.

At one point Band even had Clinton staff calling British lawmakers for Dow Chemical “on behalf of President Clinton.” Band justified the set up arguing, “I believed, rightly or wrongly, that Teneo’s further development of its clients to be bigger donors to the Foundation and CGI was an important priority.”

From an IRS standpoint, red flags should abound. Charities must detail how they separate nonprofit from for-profit business. Those benefiting private interests or inure “insider” private gain lose their tax-deductible status because Treasury is cheated.

One IRS concern is, “Establishing exclusive business dealings with a particular for-profit business.” Band was clearly jeopardizing the Foundation’s status. Clinton eventually resigned as Teneo’s honorary chairman and kept only $100,000.

More disturbing was the unseemly mix of Band and Teneo clients with the State Department during Ms. Clinton’s tenure.

Records show Clintons renovated NY home without permits

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. — Building department records obtained by the Journal News/lohud.com show that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former president Bill Clinton have been renovating a house next to their Chappaqua residence without local permits that are required for construction.

The Clintons purchased a home at 33 Old House Lane in August for $1.16 million and according to New Castle building inspector William Maskiell, an in-ground swimming pool on the property has been back-filled and covered with gravel, among other construction updates.

Maskiell told lohud.com he visited the home Oct. 5 after the department received a complaint about excavation on the property.

Maskiell said as he headed to the basement to speak with the contractor, he noticed the kitchen, floors and walls had recently undergone a complete renovation. He also noticed new electrical fixtures in the ceiling, according to lohud.com.

Maskiell said he told the contractor that permits were required for construction.

The person who filed the complaint that prompted Maskiell’s visit has not been identified, lohud.com reported.

“During conversation I was told that the owners wanted to have all work done and finished by Thanksgiving and were quite adamant about it and what had started as a paint job turned into this,” Maskiell’s Oct. 17 inspection report said, obtained by lohud.com.

A Clinton spokesperson did not return lohud.com’s request for comment.

There are outstanding permits at both 33 Old House Lane as well as 15 Old House Lane, the house the Clintons purchased in 1999.

The property at 33 Old House Lane still needs the following documents: a demolition permit for the pool, a permit for house renovations and certification that the material used to fill the pool is not from a contaminated source, according to lohud.com.

The Clinton residence at 15 Old House Lane has outstanding permits for work such as an electrical inspection inside a library/gym space and a sprinkler sign-off by an engineer and the town water department, according to the building inspector’s October reports obtained by lohud.com. Three variances from zoning regulations for the guard house and the height of a fence have expired as well.

Permit issues that are left unaddressed can lead to fines against a homeowner and/or contractor, according to Maskiell.

Former Secretary of State’s Top IT Official Pleads 5th Amendment More Than 90 Times

(CNSNews.com) – The former top IT official to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, pleaded the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination – 90 times -- in a federal court-ordered deposition on Oct. 24.

John Bentel, the former Director of Information Resource Management of the Executive Secretariat, the office that handles information technology for the Office of the Secretary of State, was ordered by U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan to answer questions under oath to the lawyers at the government watchdog group Judicial Watch.

In his Aug. 19 order, Judge Sullivan wrote, “The Court is persuaded that Mr. Bentel should be deposed because the record in this case appears to contradict his sworn testimony before the [House Select] Benghazi Committee…. Specifically, Mr. Bentel testified that he was not aware that Secretary Clinton’s email account was housed on a private server until media reports in 2015…. However, several emails indicate Mr. Bentel knew about the private server as early as 2009.”

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy has issued a directive for the U.S. peasantry.

"People have to start living a life that's commensurate with reductions in greenhouse gases," McCarthy said during a recent social discussion with Mashable.

Who is this woman to tell anyone how they should live? Was she elected? No. Called by God? No. Hired by the American people? No.

McCarthy was appointed by President Obama. She runs a political agency for a political administration in maybe the most political city in world history. She's neither prophet nor angel.

Yet she makes a pronouncement as if she has the moral authority, the heavenly justification, to tell others how they must live. She demands we return to an era in which humans produced less carbon dioxide emissions and therefore lived much more primitively.

Why do we put up with such arrogance? Why are we constantly subject to these bullies?

McCarthy is not out there on her own. There is a small army of like-thinkers who cannot suppress their impulses to run other people's lives. Just last year a European Commission report said that the Paris climate agreement required "profound lifestyle changes." Activist Naomi Klein threatens us to "change, or be changed." Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to keep us away from foods he doesn't think we should have.

The Relationship Between the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton State Department is Now a Legitimate Scandal

Speaking on the campaign trail with First Lady Michelle Obama, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton announced that “dignity and respect for women” is on the ballot this election. Republican candidate Donald Trump’s obscene remarks about women have been a saving grace for Clinton, who has been mired in controversy from the inception of her campaign—especially regarding the role played by her namesake charity, the Clinton Foundation, while she served as Secretary of State.

Last month, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) accused Clinton of misleading lawmakers during her 2009 confirmation hearings with regards to questions about the foundation. As he was quoted by The Hill:

When I put a hold on Mrs. Clinton’s nomination as secretary of State, she reassured me that they would take appropriate steps [to avoid conflicts of interest]. As seems to be usual for the Clintons, they crossed the line and all the concerns that she reassured me would not occur did in fact occur.

Back then, Cornyn had stalled the confirmation process over concerns about potential conflicts of interest given the charity’s ties to foreign powers. He was not alone.

Fast and Furious was a plot by the Obama administration to allow thousands of criminals to illegally purchase firearms in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, so they could be traced back to the Mexican drug cartels.

But the scheme had an ulterior motive that the administration desperately tried to hide from the public.

It was all about gun control.

CBS News reports:

ATF officials didn’t intend to publicly disclose their own role in letting Mexican cartels obtain the weapons, but emails show they discussed using the sales, including sales encouraged by ATF, to justify a new gun regulation called “Demand Letter 3” that would require some U.S. gun shops to report the sale of multiple rifles or “long guns.” Demand Letter 3 was so named because it would be the third ATF program demanding gun dealers report tracing information.

On July 14, 2010, after ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. received an update on Fast and Furious, ATF Field Ops Assistant Director Mark Chait emailed Bill Newell, ATF’s Phoenix Special Agent in Charge of Fast and Furious:

“Bill, can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time? We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks.”

The caper blew up in Obama’s face.
