On Saturday my youngest daughter and I arrived back in the U.S. after spending a year in China. I cried when I saw my older daughters (who stayed behind with their dad) at the airport.

I can't deny that I find poor spelling and grammar pretty off-putting (typos are different). It's not that I necessarily assume the person is less intelligent; it's more that I find illiterate posts irksome to read. I don't want to have to strain myself to figure out what a person is saying. I'm lazy. :D
