When you do the Richard Pryor Marathon.... in front of your family... and they choose to not invite you to their BBQ's anymore.

When you come to more often than you wake up.
When you pass out one more time than you will ever come to. |

when you come to once again on that familiar concrete floor wondering "Damn, how the HELL did I wind up in jail THIS TIME!?!?!"

how many times are you looking for? I have done several geographics with only what I could fit in my car and that included my family... with no job or place confirmed to stay when I got there. It always worked out, but then I came to San Diego to drink myself to death and had only a backpack with a couple change of clothes and a fishing pole. Somehow I survived and my life has changed immensly ever since. That was over 14 years ago and I have not been without a roof over my head nor have I skipped a meal since. Life is gooder!!

My, you open up a plethora of philosophical wonderings and prejudications with such a topic...
First off, at least from my prospective, Atheism does not necessarily mean the practitioner does not believe we have purpose in life. An atheist may simply believe that we live on in the memories and legacy we leave behind, and if we are practicing positive principles the memories of our existence will be fond, long lasting, and maybe even life changing for some. Other athiests may very well believe that all we have is here and now and we disolve into nothingness upon dying. Some may see that by the mere fact that our bodies become a part of the earth's life cycle once again a part of us is living in say, the tree that it fertilizes or the insects that it may nurture in the decomposition process and that is all we are meant to be. But to jump to a conclusion that Atheists have no purpose but to live and then suddenly not exist is to say that all Christians believe that we are born of sin and must repent our very existence before we can be saved. There simply is no basis for such reasoning. I try to accept and learn about a variety of spiritual teachings. Some literatures I read are from the Buddhist faith, some from the Christian faith, some from the Native American spiritual teachings, etc..etc.. What I see as a common ground in all of these teachings is that we all as human beings have a desire to lead a happy life. And each teaches us ways in which we may achieve that goal. The principals taught in each are invariably the same principals. If put into the proper perspective a Christian is not a Christian unless he is willing to and strives to walk as Christ himself walked. So many get caught up in "religion" and it's ceremonious practices that they forget to act as if they were Christians. The same goes for Buddhists, if they are to call themselves Buddhist they need to be practitioners of the Buddhist teachings and not intellectalizers only. And so on and so on. Now that point being made, it is important that we, as spiritual students, have the utmost compassion for all sentient beings, for all of God's children, no matter their beliefs or social class. For if not for being born into a different human form in a different locality with different teachings we would likely be that same person that we wish not to understand or have difficulty comprehending. Okay, now if that is not too confusing, I guess the bottom line is just live and let live, and be at peace with YOUR inner being. |

I used to (in my youth) call my ladies my old lady, then I met a Native American woman who preferred I call her my wench or squaw, then I learned that sweetheart got a lot better responses, now it is either sweetheart or babe, and if I ever become commited in a relationship again I think I will just try yes dear!

so i was sitting on my bed and this wonderful thought came to mind. i want to make a double sided toilet for lovers. this sounds odd i know. but if we were both sick at the same time, we could both sit on this toilet together and just let our bodies empty themselves together. its the ultimate couple thing to do. in stores near you soon. Are we talking like, two bowls facing toward one another, backs to one another, or maybe one elongated bowl so both could stradle squat facing one another and after the duties are done.... you know... get some duties done? I sometimes see ladies spreading their legs at the beach and letting a good stream go and it can be a turn on. Would not recommend this method on a textile beach though. |

a lot of both for me... I am very energetic and like my partner to enjoy high energy as well, then it's nice to wind down a bit and get cozy later in the day. And most of those things listed I engage in regularly.

It's hard to believe you could be lonely, Chrissy. Those guys in Virginia must have their heads up in a very dark place...
But, getting to your question. I think most of us have jumped a bit too quickly into relationships while on the rebound, ergo while lonely. Those relationships seldom last long and become lonely again even before the breakup... in my experiences. However, that is not to mean that we sit in a vacuum waiting for a dream mate to enter into our life. We can enjoy the dating, adventuring, and yes, even the sexing, without expecting a relationship out of every encountered friendship. In the process of living life and enjoying new friendships we should begin to feel the heartstrings being tugged and the loins being stirred and we regain that feeling of falling in love then we have found a precious soul that we would not dare miss dancing through life with. BUT we will not meet that soul without taking the chance, the chance that we will meet a few non soul mates along the road to happy destiny. Just my take... |
