Oh goodness.

We may need an immigration policy.

Somebody close the door, before any more asylum inmates assault us.

That's right Jester. Not allowing people to express their thoughts...does not take away the thoughts!

LOL

In fact, authorities should love the fact that potential offenders say whatever they want online! It's almost like getting confessions without interrogating. Let people speak their mind.

@Dub, that goes both ways.

Karma?

Ok, so the "outter"...Will get outed as well.

Cool.

Oh yeah, don't forget the crimes outside of inner cities Jester. We getting spree shooters by the week! And you don't even have to wear any kind of color for those guys to shoot up schools, etc.

liars are liars, and should not be protected by anonymity or for libelous and/or slanderous and/or terroristic speech, just because they are behind a keyboard.

fortunately, many are just dumb, and are eventually outted. I:laughing:

Yeah, on the subject of people being "outted", that usually involves other users researching, looking up things, cyber-stalking, etc.

Do THOSE people deserve anonymity?

What's up with some clown looking at your picture, looking at your state, and spending time and energy to track down another user who isn't doing all that to you?

They need a life too.

Lol

Wait a minute. What kind of people do I think would send a lewd message? That doesn't come close to making them a sex offender. So asking what kind of person they are...is irrelevant to that point.

There are people who like messages like that. They may even invite such things. I've seen all kinds of things said in forum that may fall in the category of "lewd", but unless the person they're talking to objects...

Why would the government, or other busy body ultra-conservative onlookers try to dictate what is, and what is not appropriate...if the people involved have no issue with it.

I'm a Christian. I'm HIGHLY OFFENDED by many, many, many comments and sentiments on the internet concerning GOD, Jesus, and Christianity.

Should Christians push to pass a law to prosecute those attacking our faith in a vile fashion everyday online?

Or should Christian-bashers have freedom of speech to do so?

There is a popular white nationalist site that specializes in the hate of other races.

Should The Supreme Court shut them down?

See what I mean?

At Kristi, what you wrote sounds reasonable, but everything you said...I find could be interpreted differently by different people.

Except the pedophile comment.

Do YOU, think pedophiles should have free reign on the net?

I would hope not.

So if a male minor with his shirt off lies about his age (common occurrence), and a female sends him a lewd message...

That woman should be labeled a sex offender the rest of her life?

See what I mean?

The topic is attempting to address two cases.

The threat case, and the troll law.

Why are you so adamant about the survival of trolls?

What about trolls?

I knew of a troll that posted despicable things about many subjects. But his defenders said it's "satire", or "dark humor".

In the meantime, other people were incensed.

Who's going to decide where humor begins, and where it ends?

Ok, what about this? Some people have a different sense of humor than others.

Some cultures, have a different way of communicating than others.

What is offensive or "threatening" to one, may not be too another.

A man made a posting on a social media site about harming his ex-wife. This case is about can a poster online blow off steam, speak freely, or even say they were just playing, or should posters be prosecuted for what they say online.

Also, an Anti-Troll Law is about to be passed.

How do you feel about this?

Look, the internet is infested with many types of people saying offensive things. Should the government regulate what you can say?

I'm sure when someone says something that YOU find offensive, you have no problem with them being held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

But what about when those in your gender, race, or country offends others?

Many don't like America. Should we silence their opinions?

If we prosecuted all internet racists, half the internet would be in prison.

What about sexists? On both sides.

Should a man be considered a sex offender for sending a lewd message to a woman who has everything showing in her pro pic now?

What do you think?

Every dating site, even the most hideous of women complain that their beauty is just too much for men to control themselves!

LOL

What a burden their beauty is! OMG! So many men interested in physical interaction on a dating site.

What shall they ever do??

If a guy comes at them in a respectful manner, they ignore him. He's boring. Has no confidence. Women like a man with a little bad boy in them. Gentlemen, seem to get looked over.

Jerks get the girls.
