Apparently people love my poetry. I'm so thrilled.

Seriously? It was intended to be a light hearted, joking reference to finding ways to enjoy the New Year. I'm sorry I'm not Walt Whitman, but I do the best I can.

If you don't know honey,
it hasn't happened to you.

To have some fun.
To finish up school.
To find the one.
To act a fool.

To drink some beer.
To have a smoke.
To kiss a girl.
To take a toke.

To watch the Cubs.
To avoid the Sox.
To visit Pubs.
To munch some box.

To write a song.
To smile more.
To right a wrong.
To open a door.

To take a chance.
To reach new heights.
To learn to dance.
To avoid some fights.

The New Year brings opportunities new,
A chance for us to change what we do,
So make the best of all you can,
and shut the **** up, and act like a man.

An ode to those I have loved before;
From dirty skanks, to the girl next door.
Our times together, I truly enjoyed;
Even ladies who were unemployed.

Oral pleasures, heavy petting, bareback love;
Oh how I wish I had wore a glove.
Drunken encounters, glassy eyed fun;
Waking up, and having to run.

These times, they do, mean so much to me;
even the uggos are fond memories.
And to all the ladies I meet this year;
Please give me a reason to ask why you're still here.
