I totally agree with all that you said. I think that people are just used to getting something really different in person than what they see online lol. I am new to the whole online thing but I wanted to give it a try because like you it might be nice to talk to someone for a while and getting to know them with out all the physical bs in the way. Which brings me to my biggest pet peeve about this whole online thing: Gentlemen when you start talking to a woman do not ask her about her boobs and sexual prefrences with in 2 minutes of im or on the 2nd email. Seriously, DON'T DO IT. You just make yourself look like an ass who can't get any. We are women if that was what we are truly after we can walk out our front doors and find 10 of you right there and ready to go. Have some class (at least at first). With that being said: Good Luck everyone- may we all find happiness somewhere.
