Topic hijacking! Bless you, God bless you etc.. for sneezing was actually based on a fear of spreading "demonic possession" the old way of viewing germs before Agostino Bassi or Leeuwenhoek started to etch the beginnings of germ theory into our history. I don't throw a hissy fit when someone blesses me, but those I know and call friends respect my wishes to not be blessed by someone, as I respect the religious friends I keep when they wish to not debate theology with me, or when I don't sit next to a woman and say "hey, nice shoes wanna f..." respect is something important, especially when it is related to someone's core beliefs.
/rant off back on topic, I think if your comfortable with the reactions people have, anything is good including "Merry I'm freezing my (insert appropriate anatomy) off season to ya!" |

As an atheist I enjoy hearing whatever greeting a person feels comfortable using, merry christmas is great, happy holidays, happy hanukkah, whatever... just please don't bless me when I nasally eject some dust... it's simply involving me in someones ritual that irks, a greeting that mentions what season someone feels were in, should not be offensive in any way.

Open marriage

Seeking advice about it hints that it isn't "working". From my perspective, I don't do the whole religious part of marriage, but it is in my opinion one of the most important commitments. I do know from numerous psych case studies this arrangement adversely effects the mental/emotional development of a child and not to sound like I'm bashing, not taking your child's best interests in your choices show's a great deal of immaturity. All my thoughts, though my core being is about personal freedoms, this makes me a sad panda.

Ha! Amusingly um... amusing =)
Your lucky day is Wednesday. Your lucky number is 5. Your ruling planet(s) is Mercury. Your lucky dates are 5th, 14th, 23rd. Your opposition sign is Pisces. Your opposition number(s) is 3. Today is not one of your lucky days! What a bummer... Did I really want to know when my parents got frisky? Your date of conception was on or about 6 December 1977 which was a Tuesday. Have to remind myself to ask my Mom if she remembers what she was doing that day Drunken barn dance!!! Celebrities who share your birthday: Lauren Collins (1986) Jeff Licon (1985) Dante Basco (1975) Carla Gugino (1971) Michael Jackson (1958) James Hunt (1947) Robin Leach (1941) William Friedkin (1939) Elliott Gould (1938) John McCain (1936) **** O'Neill (1928) Richard Attenborough (1923) Charlie 'Bird' Parker (1920) Isabel Sanford (1917) Ingrid Bergman (1915) Preston Sturges (1898) Can I take a mulligan? reroll? do-over? something? |

Without a doubt, I think children in the equation helps keep things grounded and realistic. Definitely a good thing.

I'd put up with too clingy,
too indecisive, too emotional, too talkative, too sarcastic, too neurotic, too allergenic. And if there's chocolate involved, too kinky. |
