One thing I believe strongly about is that Christians should not gather to closely to any form of world goverment. This ranting and raving and bickering about political issues in the name of God must go. I consider these folks to be worshipping the U.S. Constitution. In effect, a type of idolatry, actually. It gets the person of faith's eyes off of the walk that I believe God intends for people. I believe people can be politically active if they like, but why club people over the head with the God concept as if it gives them extra rights to anything else worldly. Jesus says it best himself: *************** John 18:36 "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence" *************** And in another portion, Paul writes to the church at Ephesus: *************** Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." *************** What I might interject here is that this walk of faith is not one that is much concerned about matters of this world at all. In the above verse it mentions "we wrestle not against flesh and blood".... but instead, the battle is in another place, which as Jesus sais "My kingdom is not of this world"... and Paul writes the battle is against "spiritual wickedness in high places"... attesting again to a spiritual battle, not one concerned with earthly things. To me, it is vain for a Chrsitian to enter in to political arguments in the name of God. If one is to be politcally active, let him enter in as one of those of the world, as the government is of this world, not of heaven. Jesus Kingdom is not here, it is a spiritual place. Besides, according to world history, every government is going to come to an end and pass away. So much for the vanity of arguing politics. Telephoneman you could not have said it any better. Believers...this is not The Almighty's Government.This Kingdom belongs to the Adversary, satan. I bet morningsong will disagree. |

You also need to pray for wisdom because you need it. You interpret scripture to your own understanding so then you can justify your reasons for walking in rebellion.

Aliens species if ever traveled to earth had to be intelligent and with intelligence comes curiosity so why wouldn't it be possible that we human are the curious experiment of an alien species. They might have chosen an Earth animal (ape) and put the spark of deduction curiosity and compassion in them and let evolution take its course always watching their experiment over the thousands of years that man as evolve. Ain't we as an intelligent species already started playing with genes and trying to influence nature and we are just beginning, just imagine a more advance race who instead of experimenting in labs on the small scale like we do they are using a whole planet for their experiment. Might be a good Sci-Fi story, might be a fool thinking out loud, might be a question amongst millions of questions about who we are and where we came from or it could be the truth. The angels, good or bad, look just like us. However, being supernatural beings they could appear as anything I think. Possibly if discovered they could make people think they are little green men so as to discredit those that saw them. Personally, I don't believe that, I don't think they could be seen unless they wanted to be. Is there anything impossible for the Creator of the Universe

I think they died out a lot longer than 2000 years ago myself. I think the Earth is far older than some 6-10 thousand years, The proof is everywhere. But then I believe in an Earth Age before the creation account of Genesis which is not shared by many Christians either. Good day to ya funches

It is written: Romans 11:5 So too , at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. It is written: Mathew 22:14 For many are called but few are chosen. Yamin, I might be misunderstanding your position here but its common knowledge to most people today that the origin of both Christmas (Winter Solstice) and Easter (Ēostre) are both Pagan. In fact, many Christians who have studied this are very aware of the actual root designations of these holidays. Thats just the reality. However the Christians adopted them and created their own meanings that they added on. Thats why Easter has all of the trappings of the much older Pagan rituals, colored eggs and bunnies. The ancient Egyptians even painted eggs. That how far back it reaches. However that does not mean you can not celebrate them unless you simply choose not to for whatever reason. Krimsa in John 9:41 Messiah Yahshua says "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains". How many preachers today are telling you to repent and prepare for the wrath to come?

 sharpshooter you have posted outstanding biblical scripture on the possibility of an aircraft of some sort . It is not far fetched. The possibilities are shocking an inconceivable but not impossible. It is hard to recieve something you have not seen. Numerous visions and prophecies in scripture gives us an idea of some sort of flying object in the skies that at that time they could not Identify for it was unheard of unlike today. I tell you this when the Messiah returns He will be what you least expect.
By His own confession Morninsong, Messiah said He is not of this world and this Kingdom is not His. The Scripture says the New Kindom will descend from out of the Heavens. Descend . Airplanes descend too before they land. think about it. It is not far fetched. Just not explored. A moving vehicle in the skies is called an aircraft.
