The constitution states we have the right to own a gun if we so choose. It was put in there for a reason and them trying to change that just means they have a questionable agenda. Gun control doesn't help keep guns out of criminals hands, they'll get them through other means. It only keeps them out of those who want to defend themselves from criminals and tyrannous governments the constitution actually says a right to 'bear arms' at a time when there were not yet semi automatics or nine millimeters Im all for giving everyone the muzzles they used when they wrote that paragraph,,,lol If I had bear arms, they'd probably want to take those too!

So let me ask.. Do you feel that everyone has, someone just for them to find? Sounds romantic, but I'd have to say no. Not everyone will have that fairytale, til death do us part ending. I'm sure many on here have had a few relationships, even good ones that ended for whatever reason. It's not that cut and dry. There may not be only one for us. Do you feel that many people, will never WANT another to find? Not many people, but I'm sure there's a few, mostly jaded individuals or psychopaths. I think for the most part, humanity desires connecting Do you feel that YOU will find someone on here? No. I think I gave that up the first day here when I did a local search Do you feel that You will NEVER find your other? I'm not completely pessimistic on the topic. I've been surprised in the past but ultimately they weren't my "other" I guess Do you feel that MANY can live alone the rest of their life and be happy w/o another in their life? So tell me,,,Whats your answers here??  
Many can live alone the rest of their life just fine and be happy. Probably not what they prefer though. |

I haven't had cable in years and I've survived. I wouldn't watch the brainwash box anyway if I had it. There are a few tv shows I like so I just stream them over the internet, no commercials mind you. Sure you get five gazillion channels on tv, but only one of those, only at a specific time of any given day, will have a show that doesn't make your brain ooze out your ears.

So, this past week my nine year old son came up with the brilliant idea that he's entitled to an allowance. "Everyone else at school gets one" Being the stingy bastard I am, I've never offered one and was hoping he'd never hear of the concept. Unfortunately, now he has and he's been hounding me about it since.
I told him I'd give him the same allowance I got when I was his age, a whopping fifty cents a week. I'd splurge it all at once and buy myself a pack of baseball cards, you know, the ones with the stale piece of bubble gum that comes with it. I never felt like it wasn't a lot of money He didn't go for that. "Fifty cents?!? That's nothin! That might have been worth something back in the olden days" LOL. Guess I'm an old timer now. "You have to give me five bucks a week at least!" So..... a daily chore list is in the works. Gonna make him earn it! What do you think about allowances? What's a good weekly dollar amount? Do you treat it like an entitlement or teach them early on how that working hard is what makes you money? |
