i hate the ones where people are taking photos of themselves in front of a bathroom mirror If you don't have anybody else to take a picture of you, than you kind of have to use the mirror. I guess you could use a remote control. Even if you had somebody to take it from you, sometimes they might like to tease you a little about it:) And, lets say you already have a partner and want to find somebody else. You can't really ask him/her to take a picture of you to put on a dating site. Actually that might send quite a clear message that they should start packing:) |

What are the worst "qualities" of a picture in a profile:
-there isn't one -weird angle, too close, too bright, too dark, too fuzzy -shows only parts of the body -is around 5 years old or more -is a group picture So, which one of those "qualities" do you hate the most:) |

Lets say I find a green pebble. I take it, and than show it to somebody else, and I say: Look! I found a green pebble. Then, if that person and everybody else that sees it agrees that its color is green, I can assume its color is indeed green, until somebody says otherwise. Does it really matter how many agree or disagree about the color? Isn't it still possible that everybody tells the truth? There might be physiological and/or psychological differences that make people see the same thing differently. To me it looks like truth is relative. shallow: This is interesting. How can I define shallow in an unambiguous way, when I don't think there is even one dictionary that has only one description for this word? Could you be a little more specific? Would the word "superficial" suffice for a description? p.s. It would be interesting to hear how you yourself define these words:) It would also be interesting to know how you reached your conclusion:) |

Thank you everybody for posting here. It would have been really nice if things were a little calmer. I am willing to let bygones be bygones. Are you?

I liked the profile, except for the lack of pictures. I did that on mine..won't date guys X hrs. away, etc.. At least more women will read yours than men do mine and not email you if they're not what you're looking for. It seems that posting your own topic in this forum, is a sure way to generate all kinds of reactions. Is possible to even generate hate mail. Hopefully things won't go that far. |

please. explain to me, why am i shallow? for telling the truth? You want someone with no children who is thin and that if she has children her x will be jealous of you??? Seriously most women your age have children most women aren't toothpicks and who are you to cut down women who are bigger??? Are you saying that all the women that have kids are fat? I never said that I am looking for toothpicks only. Hmm, hmm, you aren't you now attacking those that are skinny? Does a man that likes "bigger" women, cut down on those that are skinny? I think that not everybody likes the same things. There are people that really don't like the idea of their ex finding somebody else. am speechless:) (i am not good at writing, that is why i am speechless. for me writing is like sitting in the waiting room, waiting for a root canal. ok. maybe not exactly like that, but very close) -------------- i am looking for a woman that i like and that likes me too. there needs to be reciprocal physical attraction. if you have kids, i am not sure that things can work between us(but, who knows) lots of jealous exes out there. if you are, like over 50miles from me, i don't think we will ever meet. unless, there are sparks flying, both ways:) there are men that like overweight women. i am not one of them. i might not mind if you are a just a "little" overweight. ladies. please. have a picture of yourself that is not older than one year. lets be fair. there are pictures here that are at least 5 years old(maybe older). it seems i have done this so many times, and i didn't even know what i was doing. now, i am sorry that i didn't leave a message at least to those women that i thought were hot:( oh,yes, like they were even going to answer back. especially, when it didn't look like i fit their requirement(s). lets say that i would have left a message to 907daydreamer. what would have happened? would she have taken the first plane to knock on my door? lol. noo. the best that could have happened was a reply from her that she is not interested. the worst, she might have called me a stalker, and reported me for that(i don't think that she would have gone that far, depending on my message). the most likely thing would have been for her to ignore me. i am wrong? p.s. i might start another thread to see what others think about it. btw, if i don't start the new topic/thread and somebody else does, please let me know |
