Food glorious food marvelous food. 3500 calories is about what a soldier eats in combat. Most people can do very well with about half that. 3500 calories for a soldier!!! 
Wow I got lucky if I got 2500 and less than that in Ranger school.

Do you believe like I do that it's a weakness? Yes it can be a weakness if not handled properly. It can lead to anger, spitefulness, vindictiveness. If channeled properly it can be a constructive tool. I'd rather focus my energy to something more creative like writing, working out, music, even reading. Some musicians go thru a period of "hate" disdain, or some tragedy, misery, etc. which in turn has given them the drive to write some of the most beautiful and powerful music ever written. The classical guitarist Romero and sons comes to mind but....
that silly little ditty comes to mind 
"doom despair agony on me deep dark depression constant misery if it weren't for bad luck I have no luck at all doom despair agony on me" that guy was hating life but he used it constructively Yee-haw or maybe its Hee Haw
